My Hero Again!!!

Anybody see my hubby on T.V. last night???
Well, here he is with the 7 week old puppy that they rescued from a well...

"It took about two hours in finger-numbing cold for a special team to finally reach the puppy and pull him to the surface." -The Idaho Statesman
That's my man!

Beans Beans Beans

Does anyone else have a child who can down a whole can of green beans in 10 minutes???
Elsie loves her green beans!

I just HAD to throw this one in!

Cassi Birthday picts

I tried to take Cassi out to do some birthday pictures...there are some cute ones, but I didn't get one that I just love...so I think I will use the one I took a couple weeks ago in Evanston with her sitting on the fence for her birthday picture...but tell me what you think of these?

Big smiler!

She was being a stinker...but what did I expect?

She kept doing this face...

Here is a cute smile

There is that face again!

Under The Sea

We had Cassi's 'under the sea' party Saturday. I think it went okay...considering I am crazy and invited 15 little ones...but seriously...I think it was fun...First we played Flounder, Flounder, Sebastian (my take on duck duck goose) Then we made little Sebastian's out of red cups, some claws, pipe cleaners...and googly eyes...sorry Brent, Heather and Jenni who had to pretty much put all 15 together...I thought they would be easy enough...hmmm...wrong.
Then we played pin the present on Ariel and now Cassi has the poster hanging in her room..then we lost the cake and we had to do a treasure hunt for it, which turned out to be a bad idea, I had kids crying cause they weren't all getting a turn to find the clues...sorry! Then presents eat cake and then home they all go...Cassi had a fun time...and I don't think it was too bad either...but it won't happen again for a few more years!
Under the sea...
Putting Sebastian together Pinning the present on Ariel's hand
Cassi's new favorite poster
Treasure hunt for the cake
another clue...
Birthday cheeser!!!
Ariel birthday cake

Blowing out the candles
Cake on the floor...not enough chairs for that many kids!!!
Elsie eating cake
I needed a picture of Madi somewhere
After her party it was Ashton's party...a friend of hers...and she got to get dressed up like a pirate...her finger is a hook, like captain hook!!! ARRRG matey!

My Hottie Hubby

So Brent got to go to a fire where they rescued some cats...oh ya...and some people...
It was funny, they pulled a woman and her two sons out...but what does the news focus on...
"When Boise firefighters say they try to save lives and property every time they put out flames, they mean your pets' lives, too. "
They rescued a few cats...and one was dead, but they just got some new special breathing masks for animals...so what better practice then to try on the real thing...so they brought the cat back to life...
And Brent had a few cameos on the news...and this picture on-line...Isn't he cute in his turn-outs and all! I mean manly!!!

Happy Birthday Cass!!!

Well, it was Cassi's #4 birthday yesterday...and she had a great day...she got to have whatever she wanted....she chose muffins for breakfast, spaghetti for lunch, and Red Robin for dinner. She originally wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse, but they don't sing to you there, and she wanted to get sung to...who wouldn't on their birthday, right!!!
Happy to be at Red Robin

This is the only one I could get of Elsie not blinking...she would see the camera and blink over and over...it was pretty funny!
Mid-blink
This is while they were singing to her...she was very excited!

She loves her pillow case!
And this was the hit of the night...Cassi is obsessed with Ariel and she is so happy to have her own little baby Ariel doll.
I think it was a good day!

My little Artist

Madi is entering the 'reflections' contest at her school. The theme is "I can make a difference by..." and you have to write draw, take a picture...anything artistic something to finish the sentence.
Madi decided that she "can make a difference by not making fun of people who are different" This is what she colored and painted, and she titled it 'friends'. (and thanks to Jenni who matted it for her to give it a very professional look!)
If you click on the picture you can see it bigger and look at how good she is. I know I am her mom and I think everything she does is great...but I think this is so cute! She did different people, with different hair, different skin, some with glasses, braces, big noses, big ears...I just think she did a great job...

and to top it all off...she is beautiful isn't she!

Playing around

So my friend Alesha and I are trying to get it together to where we can have our own photography business together...she actually has one of her own, but is willing to take me on so we can work together...(your great Alesha...by the way her photo blogspot is alesharusso.blogspot.com )...so I went to her house today and we played a little with her lights, since I have never worked with studio lights...or understand how to work it all...and she helped me to understand more of how that all works...anyway, here are some of the picts...I know they are a scruffy looking bunch of kids...but we needed some kind of model, right!!! So here are a few shots...we really want to get working now so we can find families right now who need family pictures done for their Christmas cards...so let me know if you want to help get us started!

Cassi giving Elsie her kisses...

She was a little crazy...I know, hard to believe!

I know, gross huh...but this is how Elsie kisses and Cassi's nose was in the 'right' spot!

She kept jumping out of the light, I just thought the tounge was great!

Happy little Tripp

Crazy Cass

I think this is so cute...I just wish her hair was done cuter, oh well!!!

Goof ball!

Tripp jumping in his under-roos!

Happy, but scruffy, little Elsie

Funny things that OTHER peoples kids say

So we all have 'breakouts' right...well sometimes mine are worse than others cause I pick...pick, pick, pick, it is horrible...anyway...Yesterday while sitting in church, one of Cassi's little friends came to say "hi" to her...and when she looked at me she had a puzzled look on her face and then she said "Why is that dot on your face, and that one and that one and that one..." and then she proceeded to point out all my 'dots'...all I could do was laugh...I mean, what else can you do!!! Madi had a look of horror on her face like she couldn't believe that she would have said such a thing....but it was pretty funny!
And I know I very rarely do a post without a picture...but I ain't postin' a picture of my 'dotty' face!

How to have a successful sleepover...

We had a sleepover last night with some of my girls best friends in the whole world, Kara and Aubree...they have all known each other their whole life!!! Anyway...we had a great time so I thought I would give some tips on how to have a great sleepover!
First and foremost...you must dress-up...they even got Elsie into a little ballerina outfit.
Then you make and eat pumpkin cookies...mmmm....
B.F.F!!!!
Then you make them get dressed again and you take them to the nearest Redbox
where they picked out...you guessed it...Island Princess!
But before they can watch it...they have to get in the jammies and brush their teeth.
Madi and Aubree thought it was so cool that they had the same toothbrush!
Then you snuggle up for the movie

BUT WAIT...what about the midnight snack...(just kidding Heather, it was just after 8:00) But they were STARVING!!! So we had a bowl of cheerios. (I asked Aubree why she looked so sad for the picture and she said it was because she just put a bite into her mouth...)
Then back to brushing our teeth again!

They all fell asleep very well, Kara was the first to go out, and Cassi was the last, but no problems the whole night!

When they woke up, they wanted to watch Island Princess while I got their pancakes ready
Then they had pancakes for their breakfast...then back to playing dress-ups and house for a few hours until Drew and Heather came to get the girls and ruined the fun!!! No, we really had a fun time. Thanks Kara and Aubree for sleeping over!
