Bedtime Stories

These two have the best little friendship.
Madi loves to read stories to her.
Cassi is usually there too, but she doesn't last long tonight.
Notice how Elsie is pointing to the book where Madi is. So cute!

Snow Days

So we made the most of our snow day...since Brent was home...and our best friends, the Youngs, were home...so we all went sledding....the girls had so much fun.
They weren't very happy when it was time to go!

Poor Baby

So we went and got Elsie's blood work done today.
She was not happy.
Needless to say she has been cuddled and loved all day long...poor baby...
(Just so you know, I thought about bringing my camera, but then decided not too, but last minute I made Brent take the phone out again...oh, it's for memories, right?)

She looked so cute with her little pink bandage on, so I thought I would take a few pictures while she watched dad shovel the snow outside.

She is such a sweet little girl...anyone who knows her, loves her, right???

She is such a joy in our lives and it kills me when we have to do stuff like this to her, but hopefully it will help to get some answers.

A Farewell to President Hinckley

The girls had a great idea. They each drew a picture and sent it up 'to heaven' to President Hinckley. He was such a wonderful man and Prophet. He will be missed.

Elsie's 18 month check-up

We took Elsie to the doctor today for her 18 month checkup...and they had these gowns and she looked so cute I couldn't stand it. I was so mad that I didn't bring my camera...silly me, didn't take my camera to the doctor appointment, what was I thinking....then I remembered the phone!!!! Yay, so I got these cute pictures in her little gown....Thank heavens for cell phone cameras!!!

As far as how her checkup went...poor kid has to go in for some blood work...the doctor is concerned with her not maintaining her weight. She keeps dropping off her curve. And with her head size small, and the developmental issues she has, it is better safe than sorry. So tomorrow we will go to the lab and get her blood drawn, I am not looking forward to that. Poor kid!

Saturday morning

We have had a very lazy morning...but we like those, right?
Anyway, while little Elsie is napping...
Cassi is busy on the DS playing 'cooking mama'
She is getting pretty good at it..it's kinda weird to see Cassi sitting still doing something!

And Madi painting away...and yes, they are still in their jammies...but isn't his what Saturdays are for?

Cassi was singing this morning and I thought her 'sign language' was so funny...if I didn't know any better I would think she knew what she was signing. I think they must be trying to teach this song with sign language in primary or something. Anyway, I just thought it was cute. She also changes the words a little in the end, which is cute too...

Flies

So the girls were watching a documentary on fly tying with their Daddy...then they decided to make their own flies...fishing flies that is. I think they did a very good job...of course you are supposed to use fish hooks, but we don't have any of those...we will get them for our next fly tying adventure.
Madi's fly #1
Madi's fly #2
Cassi's fly...love the toothpick...
and Madi's fly #3
Pretty impressive huh...If I were a fish I know these would look very appetizing!

Happy Birthday Baby!!!

Isn't he just the cutest thing you have ever seen!!!
Happy Birthday baby!
We love you!

Brent used to be a big Ninja turtles collector so the girls wanted to decorate with all his old posters and toys...Madi kept saying..."he is gonna feel so young!" I will make sure to take a picture of all our decorations!

I have wanted to do these pictures for a long time.
My girls have attached themselves to stuffed animals. Madi fell in love with 'Baby Bear' when she was very little. He was mine when I was younger. And she has slept with her every night ever since then.
Cassi got 'Rabby' for her first Easter, and when she got raggedy, Grandma found 'Muffin' who is the same size, color, texture, only he was a dog...in hopes to replace 'Rabby'...well Cassi decided she would keep 'Rabby' AND got a new friend. That was a long time ago, and now 'Muffin' is getting raggedy!
Elsie got 'Bunny' from our friend Tracy when we first had Elsie. Every time we lay her in bed she puts her arms up, we hand her 'Bunny' and she rolls to the left side cuddling her 'Bunny'. It's pretty cute.
I wonder if it is hereditary? I had a bunny that I slept with even up until I got married (but I still have him!)...hmmm...maybe these girls will break the habit before that!
Anyway, I wanted to do pictures of them with their animals, and I thought I would share!

I just found these pictures on my little camera from the last trip we took to Evanston.
Uncle Dave pulled the kids behind the 4-wheeler on a sled. They had so much fun.

I know...bad mom...yes she has no shoes on...but I was holding her the rest of the time, I just had to get a picture and she had double socks on...besides...she doesn't look too mad, does she?

Madi thought it was pretty fun to lay completely down.
