How fun is that!!!!

For memorial day, dad, Port, Paul, Cannon and Carter all went fishing in the snake river in marsing... And they had the greatest time!

Friday May 28- Saturday May 29

We took Tonnie to the vet because she's has some issues with diarrhea ☹️

She acts totally fine, so we aren't too concerned.

But we did these her for Parvo, which was negative, so that's good.

We have an appointment on Wednesday to get her boosters so we can find out more then too.

I'm just happy she's still acting normal and happy 

She's a good pup ❤️

Dad and I took Port out on our date night.

We went to the cheesecake factory, after we waited for an hour.

But we killed the time at Cabela's, so no one complained 😂

Cass had a rough day Friday.

Her night last night was pretty good.

Today, Saturday, she slept so much of the day!!!!

Elsie had Carley over for a few hours.

They had a fun time.

Dad and Port got work done outside.

This evening, Cass had a visit from the Lyon family.

That little Reagan is so cute and she was so excited to see Cass!!!

Hopefully Cass can get some sleep tonight after sleeping all day!!!

 

Thursday May 27

Cass got her surgery all done.

She's been good.

A little sleepy when we got home.

She took some naps.

We got the house ready for the RS paint activity.

That was fun and went well.

So it was a good day.

But I'm ready for a break!!!

I kinda want a vacation 😁

Wednesday May 26

We said goodbye to some of our favorite missionaries.

They are both being transferred.

Got yard work done.

Took Cass to her surgeon appt.

We are good to go tomorrow 👍🏻

Then I taught a fun art class to the activity days girls.

They did a good job.

 

Monday May 24 - Tuesday May 25

Man......I guess I'm an every other day blogger now😬

Anyway.

Yesterday I had an appointment with a neurologist.

But much car from that except more blood work.

And now we schedule a nerve study test... Which sounds like no fun.

But I gotta figure something out!

Cass, Elsie and I had fun in the hot tub last night.

Today dad came home, with metal in his eye! On Saturday, dad was doing some training and even with wearing safety glasses....Metal bounced in his eye!

He thought it was just scratched.

But it was hurting him so bad the he went to our friend who is an eye Dr and the metal was still in there!!!!!!!

He pulled it out, and there was some rust left in there that they had to drill, dad and buff out 😬

He's doing much better, but it's still pretty sore!

I'm getting ready for an art class in gonna do over her on Wednesday for the activity day girls and on Thursday for the RS.

I'm a little nervous, but excited... But nervous. 😁

It's been a while since I've done an art class!

 

Saturday May 22-Sunday May 23

Yesterday I didn't most the day worrying and praying for our friend Kelsey who has I heart surgery.

She is doing well, but it was a long day!

Cassi got a nice note from her teacher about her narrative, which edge hasn't even finished!

She told her she gets 100% even though it's not finished.

She passed Cass for her writing abilities and said she would not be surprised to see Cassi publish a book someday!

I'll have to post it here when she's done.

She really does have a gift of writing!

Today was a nice day.

Meetings and church.

Dad's at work so that's a bummer.

But Heather and Nancy came this evening.

Heather has an interview here in Boise tomorrow, so they are spending the night.

So much fun.

We had dinner and played games, then ate way too many cookies!!!

I included a quote from a book in reading about the temple.

I just loved it so much.

I had a friend text me this evening with a struggle and I was able to send the quote to her and I think it was just the thing she needed to hear to get her through what she is going through right now.

It's kind of funny how that works.

I don't think that's a coincidence ❤️

 

Friday May 21

Had Elsie's IEP reevaluation today.

And in talking with the group.

We decided to change from Overture to Tech Trep.

I think it's a good plan.

We got school done.

We cleaned up the house.

We had the missionaries over for dinner tonight.

We finished the "Mitchell's vs the machines" and it is soooo good!

Oh and dad has some puppy time 😁

Our friend, Kelsey (who Cassi nannies for) just found out she is having open heart surgery tomorrow for a tumor they found inside her heart.

It's pretty scary.

We are praying hard. 💔

 

Thursday May 20

Happy birthday to Emmy!!!

She has some more Dr appointments today, but she and mom got to go to lunch together ❤️

We got the little kiddos first vaccine today ☑️

Little Tonnie had a rough night.

We talked to the vet and he gave us some tips.

She's feeling better tonight, but if she's so not feeling good tomorrow we will take her in.

We had the awesome chance to go to the temple tonight.

My sweet Rae Rae is leaving on a mission and she received her endowments tonight.

I'm so grateful that she invited Brent and I to be one of her guests ❤️

I remember, as her leader in YW, she had just been diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and she was struggling.

It is so amazing to see the woman she has become!

That struggle, tribulation brought her closer to the Lord.

She's pretty great, always has been.... But now she believes it too ❤️

We actually went to the WRONG TEMPLE but made the drive from meridian temple to Boise temple in less than 20 minutes and we made it!

It felt amazing when we entered the temple and every worker was so happy to see us, they knew our names (because the Lyons let them know we were running late 😂).

It was a beautiful evening ❤️

 

Wednesday May 19

The cows came today.

And I got the garden all planted, with Ports help 😁

 

Tuesday May 18

I almost have my garden all in 👍🏻

School went good, very excited for it to be over!!!

I went for a little run, then grocery shopping.

Dad and Port got stuff ready for the cows to come tomorrow.

Dad and I had our ARP meeting.

It was a great meeting ❤️

The night ended with me being very grateful for such a great extended family.

We have a family chat text and tonight we had a great showing of vulnerability, support and unconditional love.

My heart is full ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Monday May 17

I did not sleep last night, at all!!!

It was the worst!

But I got up and went to the gym and then gave home and took a nap.

Naps are becoming a daily thing and assist one of my favorite things 😁

We did school and then I needed another nap.

I mean I had a while night to make up for!!!

True kids were really good.

Took care of Tonnie.  

Finished up homework.... What's refused to do math, throwing quite a fit.

But Cassi got her to get it done.

This evening the other ones went swimming at the Morgans while I chatted with Stacia.

When we got home, Cassi and I got in the hot tub ❤️

Sunday May 16

We had a nice day at church.

It was weird to have most people not wearing masks.

We were told we could take the masks off if we have been vaccinated.

But also, not to spend time worrying about who is and who is not vaccinated.

Which I think is best advice from the stake.

It did feel more like normal... But it was also very weird!

The weather was beautiful!

We spent time together doing fun, silly things.

Cass is gathering all kinds of  blackmail to use on me later 😬

I better be nice to her!!!

We made brownies to enjoy one last day of sugar!

The girls and I are doing a challenge together, and the prize is a girls day together ❤️

One of the things is eating better, and that means no sugar.

Cass has been good all week with a vegetarian diet.

That is what has been suggested for her to do to help with Elhers Danlos.

It's a connective tissue disease and that means stomach stuff too.

So we are working together to make it easier for her to live that lifestyle.

It's gonna be hard though....

I mean, obviously, we won't all be going vegetarian.

But we could all use some healthier stuff in our lives!
