Wednesday July 24

I am gonna try to recap what we did while camping :)
*****
We headed up to Sage Hen reservoir after lunchtime.
The drive wasn't too bad....about 2 hours.
And the kids were pretty good.
We got up there and found a nice spot by the Young's in the Hollywood campground
We got parked, unpacked, boat blown up and we headed to the water.
The kids were so excited when they saw the ground covered with little frogs!
Porter was so excited to try out his new snorkel in the reservoir!
And Elsie had the time of her life playing in the mud/sand.
She got so dirty!
The big girls took the raft with Drew and found a swing to swing into the water.
I walked over with Brent and Porter while Heather watched the little girls catching frogs.
And they all jumped off the rope swing and had a lot of fun.
Then dad and the boy took the boat out for a ride, while the girls gathered as many frogs and tadpoles as they could.
Madi and Kara took a ride once the boys got back.
After a lot more froggie chasing, we headed back for dinner.
The Young's made yummy Dutch oven pizza for us.
It was awesome and the kids all ate good.
Kara just got back from girls camp, and she had a little book full of girls camp fire songs.
The girls sang and sang and sang the songs.
And they had little fun hand things to go along with some of them.
It was fun watching them :)
Elsie and Hallie we in heaven with their forest of trees around them.
They played for hours with no problems.
They collected sticks and we wrote their names out.
They had so much fun.
We had a relaxing evening after the kids washed the dished and we got the campfire going.
We all sat around talking and singing (those girls!)
Cassi played the guitar too...
As the sun was setting we went down to the water to take some fun pictures with the kids.
Elsie didn't want to have a part of it....too bad.
But we got some cute ones anyway :)
Then it was bedtime!
The kids all slept really good.
It was a really nice 1st day camping!
