Wednesday April 10

I had activity days with the girls at 5.
But Cass didn't get done with tennis until 5, and Madi doesn't get done with track until 5.
I had Madi's carpool drop her off at the church, and I just grabbed Cassi and made it to the church, not too late.
So once we were all done with that stuff, we decided to just get pizza for dinner.
Cassi had a personal pizza for reading.
We are terrible about getting them before they expire!
Luckily this one was only a few days expired, and they allowed us to use it :)
Cass was happy.
Our neighbor, Bubble, brought us over a yummy dessert, so we were set for the night.
For the last little while we have been watching 'Nature' on PBS.
Lots and LOTS of Buffalos!
It was a big hit.

Tuesday April 9

Got into an amazingly wonderful deep conversation with my best friend in the whole world.
My man :)
So now it's too late cause we gotta get sleep....I will blog tomorrow.
He's pretty wonderful, you know.
Porter lately has been saying how gross it is when Dad kisses me.
I just tell him he is lucky to have a Mom and Dad that love each other so much.
Cheesy?
So what!

Monday April 8

I wrote more about last night on last nights post.....
*****
Man, last night feels like a far away bad dream.
I feel 100 thousand times better than I have for two weeks!
I am also on a lot of drugs!
For a girl who hardly ever takes Ibuprofen for a headache, cause I think water is a cure all, it's a lot of meds :)
Last night was still a rough night.
I did wake up gasping for air around 4:30....but I did the inhaler and after a minute it started to help and I felt better.
I keep thinking of how bad it got last night.
It's hard to explain.
I was scared, but Brent was scared too.
I don't know how much longer I would have gone without blacking out before they finally gave me the treatment.
And back in the day, without this kind of treatment, I would not have lasted.
Kind of crazy to think about.
Anyway....just glad to be feeling better!
*****
Heather was so sweet.
They came by today and dropped off dinner.
She didn't need to do it, but I do have to say, it was wonderful :)
Thanks guys for being so awesome!
It was yummy!
*****
Both the big girls got home after 5.
Cassi has started tennis on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Madi is at track.
They came home, everyone was in good moods, we had our yummy dinner.
Worked together to clean up and they we gathered garbage's and we all got the garbage cans out for garbage day.
It was just a nice afternoon, with no fighting :)
That always makes a mama happy!
We had a small FHE.
Then the big girls went and took some eggs over to Bubbles, while Elsie and Dad did homework.
Elsie is doing so well with reading.
It is so fun to see her grow!
It was a good day.
I love my little family and I love every minute I get to spend with them!

sunday april 7

Blogging from the ER right now.
Brent brought me in.
My BREATHING GOT REALLY BAD.
LIKE BARELY BREATHING AT ALL.
THEY HAVE DONE A CHEST XRAY AND BREATHING TREATMENTS.
I AM FEELING BETTER NOW.
JUST WAITING TO SEE WHAT COMES NEXT.
(NOT SURE WHY I CANT CHANGE FROM ALL CAPS )

Written the day after...
It was a very frustrating night :(
Saturday I was having a hard time breathing, but not too bad.
Then Saturday night was horrible.
I kept waking up not being able to breathe and wheezing horribly.
I have been using the inhaler about every 4 hours, and it helps.
Yesterday, I just couldn't take a deep enough breathe for the inhaler to do anything for me, so it just got worse.
It is hard for me to know that point of, I can handle this and I can't handle it....knowing when you need to do something about it.
It was when we were getting dinner ready, Brent could finally hear me breathing....we had general conference blasting all day so no one really heard how bad I was.
I got scared about what kind of night I would have if I didn't do anything....so with the push from Brent we went to the ER.
Luckily Madi is such a great helper.
She got the little ones in the bath, they cleaned up the kitchen and she got the little kids in bed.
  She is pretty great :)
We waited at the ER for a long time.
When we finally got in, my breathing was really bad.
They listened to my lungs and I was told they 'sound like crap' :)
The dr. said we would start the breathing treatment right away.
A few minutes after he left, the xray lady came in.
She said it would only take a few minutes, so we did that instead of waiting for respiratory to come first.
I was done and back in two minutes.
Then blood work got done....and a lot of time went by, and no respiratory!
I was REALLY bad at this point.
Brent said he was scared.
He kept trying to get me to slow my breathing and to try to take bigger breathes, but I couldn't.
  It was scary.
I wish we would have thought to have him video tape what I sounded like.
  It was bad.
Wheezing and fast in and out breathing, I couldn't lay down, seemed to make it worse, I couldn't sit it felt like it blocked it more, and I was too light headed to stand up....scary!
Finally respiratory came in.
He said he came and they said I was in xray, so he was waiting for them to tell him I was done.
He never heard anything, so he decided to check on me anyway.
Just in time I think!
I think I was close to blacking out.
Getting the treatment started was slow going, because of my breathing being so bad....but once it got in there and started to work it's magic, it got easier.
Then the dr came back in, talked about the xrays...which he said looked good.
He seemed puzzled as to why my lungs sounded like they did.
He said it would make more sense if I had a history of asthma or smoking.....
We told him we had kids with coughs at home and should we worry about them and he said he thinks it is just a weird way that my body handled it.
Weird.
So He checked me and he said I still had wheezing so he would order another breathing treatment.
I think we waited a good hour before they came in.
I was still wheezing a bit after the second treatment, but they thought I was good enough to go home.
We finally got back home after 11:00.
Brent did leave after the first treatment to make sure the kiddos were okay (Cassi was pretty worried) and then he headed back.
I felt pretty jittery when we got home....took a little bit to calm down to sleep.
It wasn't a terrible night.
I had to stack my pillows to sit up because I was still wheezing a lot when I laid down flat.
At about 4:30 I did wake up gasping and coughing and struggling for air.
My inhaler was right there, and at the hospital they gave me an attachment to get more out of it per puff, so I did that and it took a minute to get back to breathing right.
But then I slept the rest of the night fine.
I am just taking it easy.
I wish they could have given me better options besides to just ride it out and stay on top of it with breathing treatments.
I mean I WAS doing the inhaler every 4 hours like I was supposed to!
I don't know what I did different to make it so much worse!!!
So I hope the stuff they injected me with and the prescriptions they gave me will help me out like they said and I can kick it quick.
I REALLY hope I don't have asthma after all this!!!
And I wonder if my voice will ever be back to normal :)

Saturday April 6

I really do love General Conference.
The little ones are hard to keep occupied.....but they weren't too bad.
I am not sure why....but there always seems to be a few quick naps that happen during conference.
Maybe it is sitting there holding still for that amount of time :)
Even I think I had a little nap.
But mostly, we just listened :)

It was rainy all morning.
But after conference we went out cause the sun was out.
Got a few things done....
I got some more trimming done on the apple trees (which should be done by now!)
Dad got some stuff done too.
And the kids got some fresh air :)

And bit things are happening here!
Cassi's front tooth has made it's appearance!
It has been almost 6 years since she had that tooth pulled.
It has had a rough time pushing it's way through!
I have to admit...it might be kinda weird to see her with two front teeth :)

Friday April 5

Madi has started track.
Today they had their first meet....it was actually a mock meet.
I guess to kind of give the kids an idea of how it would go.
Madi signed up for 4 events.
Hurdles is the one she is most excited about.
We need to make some hurdles for her to practice at home.
You can tell she is tired, and we have had a little bit of an attitude a couple of the days.
But this is how she was with cross country too.
Takes a little while to get your body used to all that hard work.
She does awesome though.
I can tell she is adjusting now, and I really like being around her when she does.
She feels that sense of accomplishment.
She's a good kiddo.
I can't wait to see how she progresses over the next few weeks!

*****
Dad finally got his shots in his back today.
I sure hope they help him out.
He is actually feeling pretty good.
But I told him he should do the shot anyway.....
We will see how it is in a couple days.
He is supposed to take it easy for 24 hours.
He took it easy for a couple hours before he had to head outside.
He isn't a rule follower anyway :)
It was nice to have the company for a little while.
We got 'Life of Pi' off of our dish.
I was lazy the whole day.....he was just lazy for the movie.
I am still in my jammies :)
I did do a couple loads of laundry, so I wasn't totally worthless today....

Thursday April 4

We headed back to the Terrys tonight to help them with the rest of the packing up and taking stuff to storage.
We took all the kiddos tonight.
Ya, it made it a little harder, and noisier.
But I am glad they got to all hang out with each other one more time before they leave for a few months.
Alex and Elsie have plans to be pen pals.
Cassi plans to write with Aydo too.
I am sure Port will want to send some stuff to Laela :)
Maybe Madi can send letters to Henley :)
I think they are all set to leave in the morning.
After taking stuff to storage, they walked up through their new place.
It is pretty much all framed in.
It looks great and I am excited for them.

Wednesday April 3

Elsie did her homework, so she got to have some computer time.
While she was on the computer, Porter brought in a bunch of stuffed animals for her.
She turned them all to face the computer screen, it was pretty cute :)
*****
I didn't really get much done today.
I can't wait to get back in the swing of things!!!
Dad got stuff done.
So it's good that one of us got stuff done :)
*****
We went to the Terry's tonight to help them move some stuff into storage.
They are building a house....but they will be moving to Park City while it is being built.
I am excited for them!
We took Cassi with us, and left Madi home with the little kids.
When we got home, Madi had both little ones asleep and the house cleaned up.
Good job Madi Bell!

Tuesday April 2

I cannot wait for it to be beautiful weather all the time.
I am actually excited for school to be out.
It is coming close :)
I am sure after a few weeks, I will be ready to send them back.
But I am excited for us to all work together again.....
I feel like there is no time to do much together once the kiddos get home from school.
Anyway.
I am feeling a bit better, I slept better last night.
So that's good.
Brent was outside all day on the tractor.
His back is hurting him, but he's got to get himself outside or he would go crazy :)
He plowed up my garden today....so that is exciting!
Now I need to get stuff planned out.
I know I need to get peas in ASAP!
We are gonna lay down the black stuff this year, and hopefully we can stay on top of the weeds!
But I plan to be better at gardening and preserving that garden this year.

Monday April 1

So after the kids got to school, Brent went to the back Dr.
He can't get in for the shot until Friday.
But that is better then 2 weeks away.
But it was good cause the Neurologist looked at the MRI and does not think he is going to need surgery.
He think the shot is gonna do the trick for him.
So that is great news!
When he got home, it was my turn to go to the Dr.
I am just not getting better.
Turns out I have walking Pneumonia.
So I got some antibiotics and an inhaler.
I guess there is a lot of crackling going on in my lungs.
I sure hope this kicks it quick.
All I want is one good nights sleep!!!!!
*****
We played some April Fool day tricks on the big girls.
We cut the bottom out of a can of peaches and filled it with dog bones.
I gave that to Cassi for her after school snack.
It was pretty funny when she opened it :)
We wanted to do something for Madi too.
I had track carpool pickup today.
When I got home, dad walked out with a dirty diaper and says to me 'I don't think Porter is feeling well'
And then he smashes the diaper on Madi's face.
It was chocolate of course :)
(Port still wears diapers for his nap and bedtime......so it worked perfectly)
Anyway, pretty funny.
For dinner we made hamburgers.
Under the patties (of the big girls) we stuck some mango slices.
It was pretty funny when Madi took a bite into the slice....then Cassi was clued in that she might have it too.
It was funny :)
*****
After dinner, we had a little kite flying FHE.
I put Madi in charge.
So a kite needs wind to fly, right?
If you are going to have a strong testimony, your gonna need some wind too.
Prayer, scriptures, church attendance, all forms of wind :)
Too bad we ran out of wind towards the beginning of flying the kites.

Porter wasn't very happy when the wind stopped....

He was laughing when dad told him to lick the side of his face for some ketchup.
Silly boy.
He is full of fake smiles these days, it is fun to get a real one!
