It's real!

Poor guy.

It was an easy going kind of day.

Brent started out the day not feeling very good, so we all took it easy.

Later in the day we ventured outside, where Brent saw that his wheel barrel had fallen off the wall in his shed.

He wanted to quickly fix it...just like he likes to fix everything...

This was the nail guns fault...not Brent's!!!

He was putting a nail into a 2x4...the 2x4 was a scrap and a kinda old scrap.
Well, the 2X4 splintered and the nail followed the course of the splintered piece of wood, and went straight into the palm of his hand.

Poor boy.

I heard a call from the garage saying..."Hey Kimi...will you come in the garage for a second, I need to talk to you."

I thought I was in trouble.

When I got out there he showed me his hand and I kinda panicked!!!
Sometimes I wonder how much help I really am.

So I hurried and called Heather and she gladly took our kids for us so I could rush him to the emergency room.

It was an exciting night for them in the emergency room too...

we had lookers peeking into our door quite often.

Kind funny...

He is doing good.

He is actually quite lucky.

It did go through the bone....but it did not shatter it or break it...just put a big hole dead center!

It was a good thing it was dead center, if it was a little to the right or left, it would have broken it.

So that is why he is lucky!

Thanks to all the nice nurses......and the pompous doctor....

And a BIG thanks to Heather for being so willing to take all the kids for so many hours!!!

And wish Brent luck in his recovery!!!

(By the way...the picture was Brent's idea...so don't be thinking I am a terrible wife for doing a little photo shoot before the emergency room!!!)

I LOVE my little man!!!

This little guy has been so cute today.

Well, he is cute every day...but today...oh boy!

I just love him and he is just the sweetest little guy with the sweetest little personality...

He has such curious eyes...

The way he looks at stuff now I imagine his mind saying..."How can I get in to that when I am older...? How can I get away with this in the future...?"

He is just waiting for the day to spring on the crazy boy stuff I keep hearing about!!!

(But secretly, I think Cassi was sent to me to prepare me for my boy, so I think I am pretty ready for anything he throws at me!!!)

I just count my blessings everyday that this little boy joined our family.

He is so amazing...I love you Porter Brent!!!

I LOVE shooting!!!

During my family Reunion, the guys all went shooting along with my two little sisters.

I wanted to go...badly...

...but I stayed home with the kiddos while Dad went out and had a blast!
Well, Brent told me he would take me when we got home.

He made good on that promise and took me to an indoor range tonight.

I have never been to an indoor range.

We had a lot of fun...it was LOUD, but fun!

This revolver was my Grandma Beardalls.
My Grandma was a Sharp Shooter back in the 60's and won a bunch of awards for it.
She passed her gun down to me and it is a beauty!
And I did my best shooting with that gun.
I would have LOVED to watch Grandma shoot!!!

This one is Brent's newest gun. He is thinking it is pretty cool!

We will DEFINITELY be doing this again!!

Still LOVE art!!!

The girls took a couple extra classes from Miss. Sarah.

This is what they came home with today!

I love how the artwork shows so much of the artist.

You can tell so much of their personality looking at their pictures.

Thank you Sarah so much for doing this.

My girls have learned so much and love art even more than they did before...which I didn't know was possible!!!

I can't wait to get all their pictures hung on the wall!!!

We LOVE books!!!

I am so excited about this!!!

While the kids were together at the Peterson Family Reunion...

My Mom pulled out the books they had stored at the Homestead...

There aqre so many more at the house, too!

My parents have accumulated MANY MANY books during their parenting lifetime.

Well, between us kids we picked and plucked the books we loved and the books we remembered from our childhood.

It worked out well...I think everyone went away very happy!

I decided I DO judge a book by the cover!

I remembered SO MANY books...but just by their cover, and the artwork inside...not remembering what at all they were about!

Madi helped me and we picked out some VERY cool books...

Madi was very excited when I pulled the boxes out of the car and today she helped me sort them.

One pile for kids books.

One pile for Mom and Dad books.

Then she had a pile titles 'Madi's books'.

She is one happy girl.

Those 4 stacks in the forefront are {Madi's} books!

We are excited to start reading!

I LOVE Stephy!!!

Today is my big sister Stephanie's birthday.

I have lots of really great sisters.

And I LOVE them all... (and my brother too...even though he is on our bad list today....)

But Steph and I have been best friends from day one!

Steph has always been there for me.

Steph really is the greatest.

I am glad that I got to spend a few hours with her this morning before we left...which by the way...we got home safe!

Steph, thanks for being there for me through good times and bad.

I hope you have a really great time tonight!!!

I love you so much and thanks so much for letting my family invade your house for so long!!!

We LOVE swimming!

Well, last day of our Family Reunion.

We are all so exhausted from all of our event-FULL days!!!

But we had to throw in a night of swimming.

The kids all had so much fun...so did the grown-ups.

Now we have a long drive ahead tomorrow!

Maybe the kiddos are so COMPLETELY exhausted that they will sleep the whole trip.

We LOVE fishing...

Well, I don't like fishing.

But I love that Madi will spend all day with her Dad while fishing.

They have so much fun together.

We spent the day up at Payson Lakes and had so much fun.
