Friday April 12

After I sent Port to school, the neighborhood ladies and I all went out to breakfast for Bubbles birthday tomorrow :)
We went to Mojo's and it was a fun time.
So thankful for such wonderful woman in my life!
I had to leave early to go pick Cassi up from school.
We went and picked Dad up and then went to the appointment to see the surgeon.
It was quite a long wait, but we got in.
We were impressed with Dr. Lawyer and she did a good job of explaining the options we had for surgery.
She is scheduled for surgery May 3.
They will be putting a disc in the spot where the cartilage is gone.
Then they will take 2 of the 5 hamstrings to replace/repair the stretched out MPFL.
It's an outpatient surgery, but she will need to miss a week of school, then stay off it for thee weeks (I think).
She will start PT 10 days post surgery.
She said she would be fully recovered by the time Fall 7 start.
We told her that this is the last chance!!!
She really has a talent in this.....and we would hate to keep her from it, she loves it so much!
It will be a long hard recovery, but she will come out stronger in the end!
We took her to Panera before taking her back to school.
We came home and I went for a run while Dad mowed some of the lawn.
Then we got the rest of the trees pruned and all the sticks picked up.
It feels good to have that checked off the list :)
This evening was Porter's football game.
They didn't win, it was a hard loss.
Some bogus stuff called that kind of ruined their chances.
But, that's okay.
He got several flags pulled and he was only 1 yard away from a touchdown.
It is fun watching him play.
The big girls were gone all night….Madi on a date and Cassi with friends.
We came back home and watched the Bumblebee movie.
Now it is late......and I am really hoping to get some sleep tonight!!!!
