Tuesday February 2

Elsie bug was so brave!
They took her back before knocking her out, which I was worried about.
No comfort from us while they put her to sleep.......
When she learned that we wouldn't go back with her, you could tell she was worried.
Then she said "It's okay, cause Grandma will be with me."
It was just the sweetest thing.
And she just walked back.
Like nothing at all.
They did tell us that once they out the mask on her face and she took a couple breathes she decided this wasn't for her and started crying, but by then she was seconds from being asleep.
What a brave girlie!
They had her in 'surgery' for about a half hour.
Then after another half hour, they brought her to us when she started waking up.
She came in the room and you could tell she was ultra groggy.
But she also seemed mad at us, which broke my heart.
I guess I should say she seemed mad at me, she is never mad at dad :)
She let him get her off the bed to hold her.
We stayed there for another 30 minutes and then we could take her home.
She just wanted to go home.
We got her home and she wanted to watch the Lego movie and have mac and cheese.
They told us to be careful and just give clear liquids at first, the soft foods.
She had some water, but she was starving!
We got home at about 3 and all she had eaten today was some jello and apple juice at 9:30!
Hungry girl!
She was not mad at me anymore, once I gave her the mac and cheese :)
And after a little bit of rest, she perked right up and has been pretty normal all evening.
It was a pretty chill evening.....
Dad and Port played some football.
Port will be starting flag football soon, and I am not sure which boy is more excited :)
Cassi and I did a bit of personal progress stuff together.
We had family dinner and then a little FHE, since dad was gone yesterday.
We read over the 14 day love one another challenge that was on lds.org.
Check it out and do it until Valentines day :)
We also talked about a little family challenge we are going to start.
We are trying to plan a trip to Sea world this summer, and we want them all to be involved.
So we calculated how many miles we are from sea world, and we, as a family, are going to 'walk' those miles.
We cross off mile for mile as we run/walk, or if you are active or workout for 30 minutes, that counts as 3 miles.
The kids are excited.
There are a few other things that go along with the challenge, it is a version of the Wellness Challenge I did so many years ago.
I think it will be a good thing!
