Saturday June 21

Dad was gone today for a Fire Ops 101.
Fire fighters from all around Idaho got together with elected officials from all across the state to be "Firefighter for a Day".
They had all kinds of different station.
Each elected official had a shadow with them to follow in all the jobs they were to perform.
They put out fires, cut the doors and roof from a car, had to do CPR on a dummy in the back of an ambulance while it was moving, climbing ladder trucks to the 6th floor, used a chainsaw to cut holes in the roof.
All kinds of stuff.
I think it is a pretty cool thing.
The main purpose is for these elected officials to know exactly what goes in to a job like this, and when it comes to making cuts, they will have a better idea of the Fire Department needs.
Brent left this morning to his station to pick up his Rescue truck.
Well, on the way home, he called and had me take Port and Cassi to the church parking lot and he would pick them up and drive back to the Fire department with dad.
They thought that was pretty dang awesome!!!!
*****
Not much got done today at the house.
Well, that's not true.
Lots got done, just not as much as I would have liked.
Oh well.
We are going in the right direction :)
