Sock Hop!

What a great picture of all the kiddos, right???
If only I had better lighting...oh well, you do what you can.
Tonight was the Sock Hop fundraiser for Madi and Cassi's school.
Madi has never really showed interest in going in year before...but for some reason, this year we HAD to go!!!
We are glad we did, it was a lot of fun for the kids, really crazy, but fun.
I didn't really have time until today to make the skirts for the girls...
I just dug up some fabric, the girls picked out their favs.
Cut it out...added poodles...and wal-la!
The girls were VERY excited about them!
Porter was quite the little man at the sock hop.
Dancing all around, eyeing the girls...wrapping his arms around strangers...
He really opened up.
I loved this picture, cause it looks like he is flexing...for the pretty girls of course!
Elsie and Alex had a lot of fun dancing the entire dance floor.
Aren't they cute little bugs!
There was a lot going on...I was worried how Elsie would do with it all...she ate it up and loved all the smiles she was getting.
But she was ready to go when it was time to go.
Cassi, showing her moves off with Porter.
Cassi wanted SO BAD to go up on stage and do the actions...
They would pick random kids out...but Cassi was never picked.

Madi just went around visiting with friends...I am not sure I really even saw her dancing...but she must have had a great time, cause she was pretty MAD when it was time to go!

It was a fun time!

*I am Thankful for the Wellness Challenge that kept me away from the ice cream and EVIL Girl Scout Cookies tonight!!!

*I am Thankful for beautiful days like this!

*I am Thankful that tomorrow is Saturday...hopefully we can get some more quality time with the kiddos...maybe more sewing with Madi!

Their skirts are adorable! Makes me want to go make one too. And Porter looks like a little 50's stud.
When I was in elementary school in Missouri we had a sock hop. I still remember dancing with my teenage cousin and feeling so special as we all played and danced in a big circle. I would give a lot for a picture from that night. Your children have a great mother, out their getting cute pictures of them at ther dance!!!

We are so much alike. I would have grabbed my extra fabric and whipped up THREE skirts with poodle apliques too. So easy. I wish you were my mom!
