One of my favorite things to do is Watercolor Wednesdays with Winnie 💕

She is just so much fun!

I taught my classes this morning. 

Dad worked an overtime shift…

So Madi went running instead of lifting. 

I went grocery shopping and then later on, we all made pizzas together for dinner. 

Port and Elsie had YM/YW.

Elsie didn’t want to go, cause they were playing dodge ball and that’s just not fun for her. 

Our ward is very sports focused and it’s actually quite frustrating 😣

Anyway, I didn’t make her go. 

Port didn’t know if he wanted to go. 

New to the priest quorum, he left his friends behind in the teachers quorum.

He’s been avoiding activities because he doesn’t feel like he fits in. 

He didn’t want to be picked last for Dodge ball (this is why I think church activities should have assigned groups so no kid has to feel like they are last picked!!!!!)

He did decide to go and he actually had a lot of fun. 

He said he was close to last to be picked…but then performed quite well.

Then they played the basketball game where you have to make a basket before the person behind you does.

Well, it came down to just him and the bishop (which is very impressive because we have some major ballers in our ward!!!!)

Bishop ended up taking port.

But port was pretty proud of himself. 

I think he feels like he ‘proved’ himself.

Where really, I think he ‘proved’ himself to himself 😏

 

Tuesday February 21

Winnie and I had a dance party this morning in the front room.

All the stuffy’s in attendance 💕

This evening dad and my YW/YM groups were combined. 

We had a French fry tasting activity and tied it to how to be a good friend…

Dad and I picked up fries from a bunch of fast food places.

The kids had a chart to fill out not knowing which fry was from where.

Chick fil a won 😂

Then we talked about what you need for a good French fry. 

Like salt, potatoes, oil, etc. 

Then changed it to, how we can be a good friend. 

It was a fun activity and I think the kiddos liked it. 

And it was fun that dad and I got to do it together 💕

It was a nice Sunday.

Always a bummer when dad has to work…

Port was supposed to bless the sacrament for the first time.

He was feeling pretty stressed. 

I had a meeting before church, so asked cassi to get him there.

She accidentally lost track of time (she was at Lucas’s house…..

And he didn’t get to church in time. 

He was mad, but also relieved 😂

Our center family goal is self love.

Saturday February 17

I taught my morning class then headed home and then Winnie hung out over here while Madi and dad worked out. 

This months family theme is self love…. So I sent this prompt to the family chat ❤️

This evening, dad and I had a date night. 

Not out regular Costco date night either 😂😂

We went Andy had dinner at the House of Western,

Then walked to Stella’s for dinner ice cream. 

It’s actually quite lucky and a little miracle that we happened to be downtown last night…..

Cassi has been babysitting downtown. 

And when she went to leave for home, her car key was not on her key chain 😳

Well, she went back to the apartment to look and sons the complex and car…. With no luck. 

When she called and told us, we were at Stella’s, just a few blocks away. 

So we went and picked her up 😏

Not great that we lost the car keys…. But nice that she didn’t have to stand out in the cold until we could come downtown to get her!

When the apartment lobby opens in the morning, we will check and see if anything got turned in. 🤞🏼🤞🏼
