ARG!!!!

I wrote my post for yesterday and was ready to post it when blogger quite working.....and for some reason it didn't save :(

So I will go at it again, maybe tomorrow........

Today was Stake Conference.

Madi and Cassi wanted to go......but the little ones......well, we decided to leave them home.

I went with the big girls and the little ones stayed with Dad.

It was such a great meeting and I really enjoyed it with the two big girls.

I wonder if they make transcripts available.....I sure enjoyed the talks.

I wish I would have taken notes :)

It was a beautiful day, so we spent most of it outside once we got home.

The kids had some bunny time.

We need to start thinking of trying to sell them for Easter time.........

So now it is Spring break week.

I have some things I want to get done....but we also want to do some fun things too :)

I am sure it will be a great week.....I hope the weather is good!

Friday March 21

Porter and I went to  baby shower this morning for a family in our ward who was just able to adopt the one year old that they have had with them since he was born.

They didn't know if it was going to be possible....but finally it happened.

Cool.

So that was fun to get a bunch of ladies from the ward together and give her fun gifts.

I left Porter at Stacia's house (where the baby shower was at) and I headed home to go through some clothes.....

But instead I came home and found that we had been sent out newest drawings of the house plans.

So happy!!!!!

We are meeting with the builders tomorrow, or should be....we still need to set a time.

Guess we will talk in the morning.

Anyway, the guy still got a couple things wrong, but hopefully I can just tell him those things over the email and he can get the final plans done so we can get going!!!!!

I got a text from Dad today while he was at class asking if I wanted to go out tonight.

Of course, I said yes :)

So he got home and got changed quick and we headed out.

Dad has been gone all week, so it was nice to have some one on one time.

We went to Taconos, and used my free birthday meal, so it ends up being affordable that way :)

We ran a few other errands and came back home.

The kids were good while we were gone.

We weren't gone very late, so they were all excited to get their daddy time too :)

It will be nice to have him home for the next two days.

Madi and Cassi made a fun little tent using sheets hanging on the clothes line.

They had fun playing games and reading books.

Cute cute kiddos :)

 

 

 

Thursday March 20

Dad had class again today, so he didn't come home this morning after his shift....

So we were all excited for him to get home for dinner :)

We all cleaned up together after we ate.

I promised Porter all day that we would go for a rock hunt.

It was a busy morning, and then he had preschool, and I went VT....

Then after the girls got home, I ran Cassi to guitar, Madi had to be picked up from school because she stayed after to write an essay for the National Junior Honors Society (NJHS).

Then it was time to start cooking and then dinner.

So while Dad was studying, Madi made a Spanish dessert for her Spanish class party tomorrow, and Cass and Elsie played outside....Porter and me went on a rock hunt.

It was a very successful rock hunt with many heart rocks found :)

He found some of his own cool rocks too....

Fun times!

 

 

Wednesday March 19

Port and I did grocery shopping today.

He was so excited about getting an electric toothbrush :)

After lunch we went out to ride bikes again.

He rode the full distance from our mailbox to Bubbles mailbox....that's a pretty far way to go :)

Good job buddy.....

BUT....he did have a bit of a wreck on the way back :(

I couldn't resist taking a picture of those huge crocodile tears!

Man, that boy is a cute one!

He got batter after laying down for a bit, and getting a couple of Band-Aids.

Madi invited Jaime to come with her to YW/YM activity....it was a bon-fire, roasting marshmallow night.

I picked up Jaime after I picked the other girls up from school.

It was good for them to get together again.

It has been a long time since they have hung out, a couple months.

She says she is going to go back to Lake Hazel middle school next year, so that will be good :)

So we played a lot outside this afternoon.

We are loving the little bunnies!

Hope we can get rid of them for Easter time :)

Oh, and.......

When I went to put this bunny away, THE DOOR WAS OPEN!!!!!

And DAD bunny was in there with MOM bunny!!!!!

Oh man....those girls need to be more careful!!!!!

So, there may be a new batch of bunny in 30 days or so...........

 

Tuesday March 18

It was a fun late night :)

Bubbles bought Frozen at Costco today.

She invited us all to go over for a movie night tonight.

The kids were so excited!

It was lots of fun.

Elsie cuddled with Bubbles all night.

It was super cute :)

Vern, Max and Graham came over too.

Fun times.

Dad had class today, he was supposed to work too, but had to take vacation time to get the time off for the class, and wasn't able to make it change to not use the vacation time after the class......

So instead of going to the movie, he stayed home and studied.

He did come over to Bubbles for a little bit to figure out the DVD player for us :)

But he got some good work done with the house empty and quiet.....

I went out to lunch with Stacia today.

She was gone on my birthday, and wanted to take me out.

It was a fun time.

Madi has been spending more time drawing.

And it kinda (really) makes me happy :)

 

 



Monday March 17

Well, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Last night the kids set a trap for the leprechaun....

This morning they woke up to the trap that had gone off.....but a hole was kicked through the side and footprints on top and up the fridge.

So apparently that sneaky leprechaun got out!

And he turned out milk green!

He also must have taken a potty break, cause there were green footprints on our toilet with green all in the toilet :)

The (little) kids just thought that was the greatest!!!

We had green donuts for breakfast.....mostly because we had to use green milk :)

But I did add some extra green to make sure they were green.....

So it was a fun morning with our St. Patty's day activities.

I picked Elsie up to go to PT today.

She worked super hard again.

Katie has this great new treadmill.

It has a harness that holds the weight up so they can really see where her muscles are the most weak, so they know what to work on.

It really is the coolest thing.

Without the weight, Elsie's leg cross in front of each other when she walks and her feet turn in.

Which shows the lack of muscle that she needs up in the hip area....so that is where we can work on when we do PT.

It was really cool.

And Elsie was willing to do it, which is even cooler!

We had plans to do a FHE outside this evening, but it was way too windy and too cold....so that will have to wait.

But we made a 'Happy Family Smoothie' with all things sweet and good :)

And then I put some salt in a little cup of it, which is the mean and bad stuff we might do to each other, and it ruined the 'Happy Family smoothie'.

They all gave it a try, and it was yucky :)

So we plan to be a perfectly happy family, with absolutely fighting at all, from now on!

But it was a fun night....

Sunday March 16

It was such a beautiful day today.

After church we spent most of the afternoon outside.

And a lot of the time climbing our most awesome sycamore tree.

(Oh and taking weird selfies with my good camera.....oh that Madi.... :)

I love this tree.

I am so glad that it lived!

It was a sad looking tree when we moved here.....

But now it is beautiful :)

Then we had dinner outside again.....

I just want it to stay like this!!!!!!!

After dinner we worked on getting everyone's homework finished up.

Madi wanted to take her birthday gift to Kara, so we loaded up, and took our left over strawberry shortcake from last night and went to the Young's house.

I pulled some pictures off of Madi's phone....sure wish those girls would have taken a NORMAL one along with their weirdo ones!

Love those girls and so glad that they will always be friends :)

 

 

Madi made these super cute dolls for Kara's birthday gift.

I am in love with them.....
