Friday October 19

It was a fun day for these two girls.
I can't believe these girls used to be little babies together....now look at them!
College!!!!!
The campus tour was great.
They split the parents and gave them a tour while the students had an info meeting.
Then we had lunch and a Department fair, which was really useful for the girls to see what was offered and what classes were needed in certain majors, etc.
It also made it harder because there were SO MANY options!
Then they took the students on a tour while the parents had an info meeting.
Things went really well.
Madi loved it there.
At the beginning of the day they told the kids to pay close attention to how they are feeling while around campus.
It is a pretty special feeling there.
Everyone was so happy, everyone we talked to loves it there.
It is a special place.
We headed for home a little after 4.
It was a little after 8:30 when we got home.
I am so grateful we were able to take this trip with Kara and Heather!
We had a lot of fun :)
We decided we need another girls trip....maybe next time we will go longer than just one night!
Back here at home, it sounds like everything went smooth.
Cassi had a dr appt about her knee.
They want her to do some PT and see what they think about doing an MRI after a couple weeks.
She is being a tough cookie though.

Thursday October 18

Madi and I are here in Rexburg with Kara and Heather.
We are here for a campus tour tomorrow.
Should be fun.
Can stayed home today..... Her knee was really hurting.
I think she over did it last night.
I went for a walk with the little Keller boys, that was fun.
They are such cute kids.
I got everything cleaned up in the kitchen from last night.
Cassi helped me make some cookie bars to take to some of the girls we know her in Rexburg.
Heather and Kara came and got us at 3 and we headed out.
We got here a little after 8.
We checked in the hotel and then visited Bekah and Christine.
It was fun to see them.
They are such great girls!
Back at home, dad came home this evening to be with the kids.
The little ones called me tonight, and Porter was just fine, but then he started crying.
He sure loves his mama ❤️
I am sure everything will go smooth tomorrow morning as they all get ready for school 😊

Wednesday October 17

Well, I think the activity was a success :)
Lots of kids came to the activity and we had lots of friends that were invited as well.
Elsie invited Lucia to come, and we asked if Gus could come too to hang with Porter.
I think they had a fun time :)
We had an apple stacking station, a scarecrow relay station, and a pumpkin catapult station.....then we rotated ever 10-15 minutes or so.
Then we had Carmel apple nachos.
Now I need to get my stuff together for Madi and my little trip tomorrow.
We are going to Rexburg with Heather and Kara to go do a campus tour at BYU-Idaho.
It will be a quick trip, but we are pretty excited :)
All this growing up that she is doing is both equally exciting….and devastating!!!!

These are the coolest pumpkins that Madi made in her ceramics class!
I love them!
They are made of clay, but look like a patina metal!
I love them!
Super cool!

Alvin and the Chipmunks :)

Tuesday October 16

Today was a pretty uneventful day.
Dad did some yard cleanup after going to the gym.
I went for a run after going grocery shopping.
We got the tables from Stacia to use for tomorrow.
Just worked on getting stuff ready for the activity tomorrow night.
Port and Elsie had piano, I picked up Porter early for basketball practice then went and got Elsie.
On e Port was done with basketball, we had family dinner.
I went to the Relief society tonight.
It was fun to get to know some ladies I don't know very well.
That was pretty much our day.
Hoping all goes smooth for the harvest party tomorrow!

Monday October 15

We are having a Harvest party with the Youth this Wednesday, and it is at house.
So today we got stuff ready for that.
We are having a pumpkin catapult station.....so today Brent made some fun catapults.
Port tried it out after school, and I think it will be fun.,
We are doing plastic pumpkins, so we can reuse them with each group and that way we can save money rather than buying a pumpkin for each kid.
I went shopping for the stuff we need for the candy apple bar and for the other stations.
I think it will come together nice, and I think it will be good weather.
I also took Elsie to speech and Physical therapy.
She worked really hard, and it showed at bedtime tonight......because she was really grumpy!
Her poor body was worn out!
At least the meltdown happened at home and not at therapy!
Porter had basketball practice…..he is really loving it.
For FHE tonight we listened to a conference talk together and discussed it :)
There are really great talks.
I love re-listening to them all!

Sunday October 14

Cassi is still hurting, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of swelling, so that is good.
She borrowed a leg brace from a friend, so that was helpful at church :)
She and the little ones went to choir before church and Madi had a pres. meeting.
Church was great. :)
In Beehives, we were split into different groups.
Elsie and I were in a the same group together and we were assigned a scripture to read and figure out the commandment in the scripture.
The scripture was Mosiah 4:16, talking about succoring those in need of succor.
Well, the very first scripture as part of our family scripture study....Mosiah 4:16!!!!!
I love when that happens.....but I guess that also means that I really need to take that scripture to heart!
The Lord is trying to tell me something :)
Anyway, after church, we turned on last weeks conference.
We didn't get to 'watch' most of it, so I am glad we have it recorded!!!!
It was a quiet evening with puzzles, mess making and fighting....you know, the usual :)

Saturday November 13

Well, the day started out with Cassi's Rugby state championships.
Drew, Kara and Hallie came to watch her too!
Things were going good.....until Cassi got hurt :(
Dang it!!!!
I told her not to get hurt!!!!!
She strained/pulled her MCL.
Hopefully that is all, and it isn't something worse.
We will see how it looks tomorrow and then possibly go in to the Dr on Monday if it is looking really swollen.
We brought her home to rest and ice.
Then she wanted to go back for the last game.
Luckily the Morgan's have some crutches we can borrow.
Madi had her date today for Rocky Mountain high school.
They went to the corn maze this morning, then out to lunch.
She got back home and got ready.
Sherrie came and did her make-up for her.
Bubble and Vern came to see her before her date picked her up, like always :)
It is becoming a fun little tradition.
After she left, Dad made some yummy fish tacos for dinner.
Then he and I went out to the movies.
We went and saw 'The first man'.
It was a good movie.
Hopefully Madi is having a fun time....we will see her home in a little bit :)

Friday October 12

I did not sleep well last night.
I could barely function getting the kids ready for school.
So, once they left, I took a little nap :)
But I was more productive after the nap!
I got the house cleaned up, laundry done, and got ready for my meeting I had.
Well, my Beehive advisor had to cancel because she wasn't feeling good.....she is ready to give birth any day now!
So we rescheduled.
I went for a run and got showered and all ready.
There was a lot of running around this evening.
Elsie had her friend Malia over for a few hours.
Cassi went to her Rugby tailgate party, then I picked her up to go to her friends house, which they turned around and went back to the school for the football game.
Madi chose to stay home from the game because she had homework....plus she has Rocky's homecoming to go to tomorrow, so she didn't want a late night.
So she stayed home with Elsie and Malia, while I went to Porter's last football game.
It was a rough game!
They did not win, but Porter got some good flag pulls.
The season is over.
It wasn't a winning season, but it was still fun :)

Thursday October 11

After the kiddos left for school , I went for a nice run.
It was hard to get myself out there because I was worried about it being cold!
But once I got out there, it was nice.
I had made plans to go help my friend who just had a baby.
She's got this new baby, a 1 year old and a 3 year old.
The 3 year old was going to reading time at the library, so I went to hang out with the 1 year old.
We went out for a walk because he LOVES being outside.
We walked almost two miles!
He was loving it!
Anyway, Erin was able to get a nap with her new baby and Chase was a happy 1 year old :)
I got home and gathered stuff to teach Porter's Art Smart.
We learned about Claes Oldenburg, he was famous for making oversized sculptures of everyday things.
The kids made giant hamburgers out of fabric, cardboard, yarn, and tissue paper.
It was a fun project :)
When I got home, that is when the big girls got home...…
Madi had work and Cassi had Rugby.
Port, Max and Graham hung out after school.
Then they went to football practice and Vern took them to Taco Bell.
Here at home we had leftovers :)
Elsie took a shower and then Madi she and I relaxed and watched "A wrinkle in Time" while Cassi went babysitting.
She is still gone...…
I am taking the challenge that our Prophet gave us during the Woman's Conference.
Along with some other challenges, he suggests us reading the Book of Mormon all the way through before the year ends.
Our RS sent out a printable to help out with it, giving you what you need to be reading to get it done in time.
I am excited to do it again :)
I added the worksheet so you can copy and paste it if anyone wanted to join along with me!

Wednesday October 10

Helped out in the office this morning :)
Then after laundry and cleaning up, Dad and I had a lunch date at Olive Garden.
That was nice to get out together, just us two.
This evening for YW, we had a service project at DI.
I think the girls all had a fun time and it was nice to be helpful :)
