Tuesday October 9

Today was all about getting ready for the block party.

Actually, the NE quarter block party :)

Since it is only 1/4 of the mile block.

We had an awesome turnout and it was a really fun night.

It rained ALL DAY!!!!!

So our hosts, the Frischorns, cleaned their heated shop so we could eat it in there.

We set up tables earlier today.

I made a dessert.

Got the cute tables center pieces put together.

I did have a YW meeting in the middle of the day.

Also pickled up the little ones and took them to piano.

Had to pick Porter up early so he could go to basketball practice.

Then we had the party.

Lots of yummy Potluck items.

And of course our annual marshmallow golfing :)

This years youth winner was Max and the adult winner was Brent!

His winnings.....a bag of tulip bulbs, which I am very excited about!!!!!

Oh it was such a fun night.

We are so blessed to live by so many great people!

Monday October 8

Dad worked a 'pay back' shift today...

Madi's second period is when she works for ICCU in the school.

Well, today is a holiday, so she didn't have to work....so she came home and hung out with me for 2nd period and for lunch.

She and I hung out and watched 'Castle' together :)

I also worked on laundry and picture editing.

When she left, I went for a run.

Then I had time to shower and then pick up Elsie from school.

She had speech therapy.

Cassi, Rugby.

Madi, didn't work.

And this evening Porter had his first Basketball practice.

He is pretty excited about his team.

There are several boys on the team that are friends at school.

He was pretty pumped after the practice tonight :)

Sunday October 7

We all kind of slept in this morning.....I think we were all pretty tired from the hard work yesterday!

We got up and ate breakfast and enjoyed the first session today of General Conference.

Lots of great messages!

We missed so much of yesterday's talks, I look forward to catching up!

After that, we got the stuff all cleaned up and loaded in the car.

Emmy made us some lunch and then we were on the road.

The drive was a good one.

A bit windy for a good part of it, but no rain.

We got home and unloaded and turned the heater on!!!!

Brrr!

It was cold!

Port and I finished up the puzzle we have been working on :)

It's a 550 piece puzzle!

It is fun to work on puzzles with him.

I am sure we will start another one tomorrow :)

Oh, and Cassi wanted bangs cut.

Well, I think Madi convinced her that she wanted her bangs cut.....

So Madi cut them tonight :)

And she does look cute.

We will see how she feels about them tomorrow...……..

Saturday October 6

Got a lot of work done today!!!!

The weather actually turned out pretty awesome for our task!

We got going around 8:30 or so.

We got a good rhythm going with all the things we had going on.

Alberto and Benji came along as well

Papa came to hangout with us too.

The kiddos took turns power washing the back fence.

Dad ended up finishing it up :)

The kids were getting really wet!

We also listened to General Conference as good as we could.....

Big changes happened.

The church schedule was adjusted so now we are only at church for 2 hours.

And now we rotate every other week between Sunday school and RS, Elder quorum, YW, YM.

I see how it will be a great thing.

But it is still gonna be hard to not be with the YW every week!

But there was also talk about focus on home study at home as families.

We need to re-listen to it all again, because we couldn't hear it all very well.....

But I sure do enjoy Conference weekend!

And this has been a great day working all together.

Friday October 5

We got a visit from Aunt Nancy this morning.

That was fun to talk with her and Lauren.

Madi wanted some pictures out in Gramps field, for her Senior pictures :)

We got some really cool ones!

We got cleaned up and packed everything.

We ate lunch then headed out.

But not before we visited Grandma and the Buffalos :)

When we passed through Provo canyon, we stopped and took some more pictures of Madi.

It turned out to be a beautiful day.

Then we got to Emmy's.

We got started on the fence stuff.

We actually got a lot done in preparation for cement tomorrow.

Then we went and bought some ice cream from Trader Joes :)

Gotta get some sleep for another big work day (and listening to General Conference...which I am anxious to listen to)!

Thursday October 4 (add pictures....I know I am the worst!)

We slept in a little bit, after getting in bed about 12:45 or so last night.

When we got here, it was pouring rain!

We all scrambled in the house as quietly as we could and brought all our stuff in and got in bed as soon as possible!

The boys had a packed morning.

Dad, Gramps and Port drove to Kemmerer with Doug to drop off a trailer of feed.

Port had so much fun, and Dad had so much fun doing stuff with his little boy that he got to do as a little boy!

Back here at home, us girls had a little CSI marathon :)

Just kidding, but we watched some crime shows, played with hair, I edited some photos, played card games and had fun hanging out.

When the boys got home, they cut down the bushes along Gramps back fence.

We helped with the cleanup.

It was a very fun day.

Mostly getting along and having fun.

We went up and visited the Pace family, Kallie and Kayden.

That was fun.

Then we went with Gramps to pizza hut for dinner.

That was yummy.

The service wasn't very great, but the company was great :)

Best part of the night, we ran out of water so Porter went to fill it up.

He stood at the counter for a while, and he kept looking over at us.

Then he started doing the 'floss' dance move while waiting there.

Then he really got into it and the waitress finally came and saw him!

Funniest ever!

Wednesday October 3

On the road right now on the way to Wyoming.

I don't think we've ever left with this late of start.

We will get to Gramps house after midnight!

But it will all be worth it!

The Hall kids came and hung out a little this morning while Sherrie taught a class.

Later on Dad and Porter made sure the suburban was in good driving condition 👍🏻

Since Madi had to work until 6:15, Cassi was able to play one of her rugby games.

Dad picked her up from that and as soon as Madi got home, we headed out.

We definitely have some tired kids.

Almost to Burley now, hopefully they will sleep the second half of the trip!

Tuesday October 2

Not a very exciting day.

I did make soup from the tomatoes in the garden and also used Porters carrots that he planted in the garden :)

I also added some leftover steak from the Salisbury's the other night and made it kind of a stew.

The kids really liked it :)

Port and Elsie had piano...…

I have been trying to get stuff ready so we can head out tomorrow.

While cleaning up the kitchen, Port and Elsie were hanging out together outside......they said they were playing pioneers :)

We had a fun evening putting together the puzzle and just chatting.

The big girls have to go to school tomorrow and actually Madi has to work....

But we will head to Wyoming right after that.

Monday October 1

I subbed in the office this morning.

It was a quite bust morning!

I don't know if I just lucked out with Wednesday's being not too crazy....or if today was out of the ordinary!

Anyway, once I got home, Dad went to the gym and I went for a run.

It was a little stormy feel outside.

But a beautiful day.

Then we went to Lowes and grabbed wood to do more work on the deck.

Once we get back from our trip, we will get everything painted!!!!!

Ready before the bad weather comes!

Oh, we also went and got some stuff for Fuego...….that is what Porter named his lizard :)

When Port came home he was pretty excited to see how Fuego was doing!

I took Elsie to speech and PT later in the day.

Dad took Cassi to her Ortho appt.

She only has one more appointment until the braces come off!!!!

Madi worked...…

When Dad got home, he and Port did more work on the deck.

That boy is a good one to have around :)

He's a good help and he makes me proud.

Elsie and I didn't get home until about 6.

We had dinner and then Madi had a hair appointment.

She has been dying to get her hair done, color and cut kind of thing,

So a lady in our old ward did it for her...…

It turned out really pretty :)
