Friday June 10

This crazy week is almost over!

I am ready for the lazy days of summer to start!!!!!

Today I got up and took Madi to PT again.

He realigned her and gave her some new exercises and stretches.

She is doing really well!

Hopefully we can extend the time between alignments as her body learns how it should be supporting itself!

When we got home, Madi left again with Dad and Porter to go watch her 'friend' Tripp's basketball game.

While they were gone I got my strawberry plants planted.

24 plants!

Bubbles gave them all to me and I am so excited!

Yay!

I hope they take and thrive :)

Then the big girls got packed and ready and I took them to the stake center for them to head of to Youth Conference.

They are going to Christensen pond and I told the leaders to take lots of pictures!

I bet they are having so much fun and I am sad about not going :(

But oh well!

When I got home, Dad was outside doing his farmer stuff :)

I walked in and Else said she cut her knee.

And Port said that he took care of her.

Then I saw the bandage he put on her knee for her.

Sweetest thing ever :)

I made sure to tell him how proud it made me that he took such good care of Elsie when she was hurt!

Later, I got a call from someone in the ward looking for one of the girls to babysit.....they were having a hard time finding someone since all the youth were gone to youth conference!

They were in quite a jam.....

So I told them to just bring the kids over here.

So that's what we did tonight.....entertain :)

It went pretty well.

But man oh man...I feel like I could sleep for a week!!!!!

Is that just not the sweetest thing ever!

Band-aid made out of tape and paper.

I hope to get a picture of Cassi to post too, but this is all the was sent to me.

She is probably having too much fun running around to stop for a picture ;)

Thursday June 9 (Add pictures)

These late summer night are really making me into a bad blogger/journal-er!!!!!

I will catch up soon!

Today we all kind of slept in.

I went for a run.

Then we all worked outside getting sprinklers out and fences fixed.

Madi went swimming with friends.

Later in the day Porter had a baseball game.

It was slow going, but they were really on fire the last inning!

So that was fun.

The Young's came by to watch the boy play, so that was fun :)

After the game we went to Red Robin for dinner and then to Krispy Kreme to get the free donuts for the kids because they got A's.

Actually, we only had to show Madi's grades to get enough donuts for the family :)

When we got home we got together with the neighbors and got the cows put back into our pasture.

It was quite the show!

Our cows were mixed in with the Edwards cows....so they had to get them separated and then back into our pen.

My 4-wheeling cowboy did quite a fantastic job :)

After the cow round-up we all came over to our house for some s'mores.

Always a good time around here :)

Wednesday June 8 (add pictures)

Woke up early at pre camp.

We had breakfast then left to the shooting range.

The girls all had instruction on different gun types.

I think everyone had fun.

We got back about lunch time and had lunch.

Everyone went home once we broke down the tents.

We were all so tired when we got home.

We just lounged on the couch.

It was too hot outside to do any work anyway!

At 5 I went with Elsie to activity days.

The activity was swimming at the Morgans house :)

Then we came home and had dinner, then watched a movie as a family.

And it got late fast!

But we plan to sleep in tomorrow for the first time since school got out!

Tuesday June 7      The boss is at a girls camp pre camp out so im told that im in charge of the  two little ones and blogging for tonight. So the little ones are asleep and I just blogged. Check and Check.            

Monday June 6

Got up this morning for a early run, since it has been so hot!

Then I took Madi to her 9:00 dr. appt.

But when we got there, they informed me it was at 10;00  :(

So we went to target for a little bit and went back for her appointment.

He checked Madi out and did a few things.

He noticed that her back is not working like it should.

Instead of all the lower segments moving a little bit to make a movement, they are moving hardly at all, and all the movement it happening in just one spot, the spot that is hurting her.

Right where the bruising on her back has been (that, might I add, everyone else thought wasn't a big deal.)

He said that you can go to a chiropractor and get it adjusted every few weeks, but to fix the problem, she has to retrain the muscles.

He did adjust her with a few tweeks.....then they did some stretches.

He gave her homework to do and when she got in the car she was almost in tears.

happy tears.

She said 'Mom, I don't hurt!  I can sit up straight and it doesn't hurt!!!!'

So so awesome!!!!!

It will take lots of work, but she is ready and willing to not have back problems and ready to be a care free kid!

While at the PT appointment, I got a text from my YW pres telling me where they are meeting for our meeting right then,

The meeting I thought was set for tomorrow!

Oh man am I a mess!!!!

It seems like this stuff is happening more and more often to me :(

So frustrating!

So I dropped Madi off after PT and was there for the last 15 minutes of the meeting.

Then I picked the kiddos up and we went to the Young's house to swim with the girlies.

Everyone had lots of fun and it was a super warm day to swim and have a trampoline picnic :)

We didn't do much once we got home.

I had them do a few chores, but I was feeling exhausted.

The Young's told us about a show on Netflix to watch called 'When Calls the Heart'.

So we watched a few of those episodes together before we had dinner.

After dinner we had FHE.

everyone has been fighting so much lately, and I told them this summer is going to be terrible if we are fighting all the time!

I made them each pass pieces of papers around and everyone had to write what they loved most about each person.

After scriptures and prayer I put the little ones to bed and the big girls went and hung out with the Morgan girls for a little bit.

I went out and mowed some of the lawn since it had cooled down quite a bit.

But now my allergies are going bazerk!

Saturday June 5

Oh man was it a grumpy day for everyone!!!!!

I think our lack of sleep is really catching up!

They all got to bed early tonight....so I am hoping for a better day tomorrow.

We went to church today.

We go to the stake center now, and Port was so worried about not knowing where to go.

I promised him we would find it just fine :)

And we did.

I went to class with Elsie.

But Port was giving the scripture, so she let me leave for that.

But the opening exercises for primary was taking a long time, and so I was still waiting for Port to go, when Elsie's teacher brought her out crying :(

Little stinker!

So she stayed with me while we watched Port, then I went to the rest of her class with her.

And or course, she went with me to YW, where she was a lot of trouble, whimpering and crying.....

But Sister Peterson gave a great lesson on not judging others because you don't know what they are going through.

I feel like I tend to judge others, so that will for sure be something I will work on this week....and even after that :)

After church, we had melt downs and fights all over the place.

I sent every single kid to their rooms, numerous times!

Oh man........

Eventually we had dinner and we watched our General Conference talk.

Today's talk was by Elder Ronald A. Rasband with the talk titled 'Standing with the leaders of the church'.

We are so blessed to have the leaders that we do in this church.

From the Prophet all the way to the nursery leaders.

They can all make such an impact in our lives.......and we ourselves can make an impact as well as we fulfill those callings.

He quoted from the song, I am a Child of God.

Lead me, guide me, walk beside me....then he asks the question, who comes to mind when you sing those words?

When we are choosing to follow the counsel and warnings of our leaders, we are choosing to follow the Lord.

And are we choosing to stand in/with the light of our leaders in a darkening world?

Another quote he used was from Edwin Marham.

He said: There is a destiny that makes us brothers:

[No one] goes his way alone:

All that we send into the lives of others

Comes back into our own.

No one goes his way alone!

I just love that.

He told the story of when Jesus walked on the water and told Peter to come to him.....Peter did.

Peter walked on water towards Christ.

But then the winds got stronger and the water more rough.....and he lost sight of his focus and began to sink.

When he called out ' Lord, save me', in an instant the Lord was there to pull him up.

That is all we need to do.

We will all lose our way, lose our focus, and become discouraged at some point.

All we need to do it call upon Christ and he will pull us out of the water.

We NEED our Savior!

He loves us so very much.

Saturday June 4

I feel like today has been three days all jammed into one!

Dad and I got up early today.

Dad took Port at 8 to the baseball diamond because today was team picture day.

Elsie and I met up with them for the 9:00 game.

The big girls were too tired.

So they slept and then cleaned.

The game was fun.

With a lot more people watching the game......

I had to leave early because I needed to drive Cassi to a birthday party.

But I got to watch him pitch a few times.

He is just so cute out there!

And his pitch 'look' is getting much more serious than it used to be.....

So I will not apologize for the many many pictures of my boy :)

I took Cassi to the birthday party.

Well, birthday party #1 for the day.

She was invited to two.

Then I came home and Dad and Port were back from the game.

We did some work outside.

And irrigating.....

I picked Cassi up from her first party, and drove her to her second party.

Then we got a text from the Young's inviting us over for a swim.

So that was a nice way to pass the time on a hot day like this!

I can't believe how warm it has been!

Everyone had a fun time swimming......but we did miss Cass.

We came home and gave Madi time to get ready before she went to her babysitting job.

I dropped her off, then picked up my Beehive advisor and Personal Progress leader, then we went to the house Cassi was at :)

The party was for a girl who is a new Beehive in our ward.

So I thought I would kill two birds with one stone and get the Beehive visit in and pick up Cassi :)

We sat and talked for a bit and it will be a lot of fun to have her in Beehives with us.

She is from the new part that got put into our ward, so it will be fun to get to know her better.

Cassi already knew her though :)

Cass knows everyone!

Then we did more stuff outside.

And had sandwiches for dinner and watched 'America's got Talent'.

I'm not sure why it seemed like such a long day, but when I think about being at the baseball game this morning, that seems like forever ago!

Crazy.

Friday June 3

The last day of school!

It is finally here!

Wowza, it has been a packed day!

Dropped the little ones off at school then went to the Capells house to dig up Raspberry starts.

We got home and I put about half of them in the ground before I had to go and pick Madi up from school.

They only had half day......or a couple hours day....for school today.

Then we came home and I jumped in the shower so we could hurry up and grab the little ones from school and head to the middle school to watch Cassi perform in the Talent show.

When we got Elsie from her class, the kids said bye and all gathered around for a bug :)

So very sweet!

Cassi performed three times today, and we made it to the third.

She did a great job and it is always so much fun to watch her perform.

And good grief, Cass!

When they announced her performance I have never heard such a hoot and holler!

Everyone was cheering and yelling 'CASSI' .

It made my mom heart happy :)

Cass is such a good person and is so kind to people and it makes me happy that people love her for it.

After her performance, we left.

She stayed for the rest of school because they had a big book signing party thing.

Madi left with her friends to the Pond at Veterans park.

We took the little ones home and then I ran Port to Walmart to get a gift for his friends birthday party.

Once I got back home, dad had dug the rest of the holes for the raspberry plants.

And Port helped with the watering system.

We planted 42 plants!

Yay!

I hope they take!

Then Port went to his party.

When Dad came home, he found some kittys!

We believe they belong to Chex....our half tame/wild cat :)

So so sweet!

We told Justin and Sherrie we would babysit their kiddos since our big girls had plans tonight.

They came over and I had so much fun holding that sweet baby!

I even sent Madi and text with Everly and I and told her that I needed a baby!

Dad tells me good luck with that :(

Anyway.....

Cassi left to go babysitting at another house.

Port came home from his party and had so much fun with the Hall boys.

They build a fort on top of Dad's trailer.......it was pretty darn cool!

Creative boys.

We have got to get them together more often!

So it is a late night and will be an early morning tomorrow with Baseball team pictures at 8:20 :(

Oh, and guess who was up at 4:30 today.......

I really hope Elsie isn't gonna make it a habit!

But she has been wearing some slippers that Grandma Ene gave Cassi, last Christmas I think.

She also wears an old t-shirt that Grandma had given Cass as her jammies :)

Anyway, she woke up at 4:30, frantic, because her slipper had fallen off and she couldn't it.

We found it, but she never went back to sleep :(

Anyway.....so we are a bit tired tonight............

Thursday June 2

I can't believe tomorrow is the last day of school!

It has been a hectic last few days!!!!!!!

I am so tired today :(

It might because I had to give Elsie a bath at 2 a.m. this morning because she threw up in her bed!

Again, it must have been something she ate, because she woke up just fine.

And she had a great day at school.

So today the kids handed out teacher gifts.

For the room teachers, and Elsie's aides, they got a  pack of eggs that said 'thank you for being an EGG-CELLENT teacher'.

Then for the specials, like PE, music, computers, library, office ladies and principal.

They got a donut with a card that said 'DONUT forget us'.

They thought it was fun.

Madi said 'Mom, are you really giving teachers eggs?'

I said WHY NOT!

I hate giving things that never get used.

Eggs will for sure get used!

Anyway......

Tonight after school, Port had his second baseball game.

They do pretty well, but those boys are so tired!

I am excited to see what an early morning game looks like this Saturday!

Wednesday June 1

Today we did some work outside.

Getting ready to put some raspberries in.

But we had to clean out the old area.....it was a mess.

So dad brought a couple dump truck loads of dirt to refill what we pulled out.

We are also going to do strawberries on the side of the garage, so we piled good dirt up there too.

Hope to get that stuff planted in the next few days.

I went and helped with Port's class for Field day at the school.

After school I had to make a Walmart run.

Then I went with my YW adviser, Nicole, to take a treat and say goodbye to our old Beehives.

The kids went swimming at the Morgan's, except for Elsie.

And then Madi went to YW with her friends, since we had no YW this week.

Next week is pre-camp and with this week having so much with school, we decided to chill this week :)

Dad went to help his friend with his cabinets and should be home soon.

So it was a busy day.....but no picts :(
