Friday February 1

I got to go out to lunch with Heather and a bunch of her friends for her birthday today.
It was a fun time.
And I am glad she was feeling better and that I got to see her and hang out with her on her birthday :)
When I got home from lunch, Brent and I packed up the can and picked up the kids a little early from school to head to McCall.
It was kind of a last minute thing for us to go to McCall.
Our neighbors....Bubble and Eldon, have their cabin there.
They go to church there and are in McCall almost every weekend.
This weekend, they had super bowl plans and they said we should go up there and see the winter carnival.
Bubble said it has been many years since little kids have been in there and the walls needed to hear the sounds of children's laughter :)
They are so great.
Well, we knew it would be a short trip, but we decided to do it anyway.
We were so excited to see such a cute cabin when we pulled up.
They had this and then a bunk house about 20 feet to the left.
The bunk house had a tub with claw foot legs....love!!!!!
We had so much fun.
Our first thing to do was clear the snow.
We got there kinda later in the day, so once the snow was cleared we headed to The Pancake House for dinner.
We waited a VERY LONG TIME!!!!
Good thing we had games on Brent's phone for the boy.....cause he wouldn't have been able to wait that long and still be good.
Cassi kept saying, 'how long does it take to cook a pancake!!!'
But they were forgiven once they brought our food...cause boy was it yummy!!!
We stopped by some ice/snow sculptures on the way back to the cabin.
I am glad we did the big ones on this night instead of Saturday.....cause there were a lot more people during the day!
The Lego Batman was Porters favorite :)
When we got back to the cabin it was already 9.
We got the kids ready for bed and we all read some books together.
The kids decided to sleep in the living room instead of upstairs.....they all wanted to be close I guess :)
So I read to them until they were all asleep....including dad.
Both Cassi and Elsie had coughs.....but it didn't seem to keep them up too bad.
Just kept me up :)
Hey, that's how it goes.
Elsie was up at 5:00 Saturday morning, waking the rest of the room except Cassi.
I cuddled with Porter and got him to go back to sleep for another hour or so....but Elsie would have none of it.
She was up for good.
So I guess the story continues on Saturday.....
It was a fun day :)
