Monday November 19

Cassi had her extra tooth pulled today.
Cassi had an extra baby tooth and we were hoping that when the adult teeth came in, then there would be no extra tooth.
But then this tooth tried to work it's way in.
There is NO ROOM for this tooth.
So our dentist sent us to a orthodontist to make sure of which tooth would be best for him to pull.
And today was the day.
Cassi was one tough cookie!
Dr. Payne (yep, that is our dentist name :) said that she was so awesome!!!
And that she was more tough than most adults he gets in.
She rocks.

Just when we thought we couldn't get any more holes in that mouth......

That extra tooth was jammed in there....and it was sideways, and only halfway out.
Dr. Payne had his work cut out for him.
He did a great job and was very gentle.
But there was no way it was gonna come out unless we pulled the baby tooth next to it.
It was just too jam packed in there.
And I would rather her lose that baby tooth then to have to leave and go to an oral surgeon, which was the next step.
So he got the baby tooth out and then the extra tooth came out pretty easily.

Cass had Muffin with her to help keep her brave.

He had to put a stitch in there.
The gums between the two holes were pretty chewed up......there wasn't much between the two teeth.
So he stitched it a bit and it was all good.

We were all surprised with how big the tooth ended up being.
The root was fat and huge!
Good thing it is gone....it was really wanting to mess up her mouth.
Now.....lets see how long it takes for all these teeth to grow back in :)
