Texting worksheet????

Are you serious????
Madi came home today with a worksheet about texting!
I guess that is the world we live in now.
It is so crazy to me!!!

And look what great helper I have?
Porter set the plates and stuff on the table today.
He also LOVES to help me load the washing machine.
He is a good helper....he got the 'clean' gene from his Dad.
That is a good thing.

Wow. I am speechless! What is the purpose of the worksheet? What curriculum is it from? I can see this as maybe as a Jr. High assignment, to motivate them to do homework by using something they are interested in. But 4th grade?

Is it something like those license plate brainteasers?

Porter is quite a cute helper! I love your plates!

Wow! That is crazy! I like the other side of the worksheet where it asks you to write out the full sentence with details. These days, we have problems with Kindergartners having cell phones at school. (Hasn't happened to me personally, but other teachers in my school have dealt with it.)

Porter is such a cute little helper!!

homework about texting... that's crazy. I don't want my kids to learn that, I think texting makes us lazy... I make a point to type everything out when I text, but that's just me. :D
