Big thanks!!!

Drew and Heather came to my rescue today...
Brent was at work, so I didn't know what I was gonna do with my tree.
Drew and us girls carefully and slowly propped it back up...
Heather and I started to pick peaches and we were picking the ones that had fallen on the ground, when all of the sudden, that dang tree fell on the two of us!
Drew was in the garage trying to find a rope of some kind when we started yelling for him.
Once he knew we were okay, he wanted to know where my camera was...
Now I am kinda wishing I had told him where it was!!!
Anyway...we propped it back up...and anchored it really good...
We picked all the ripe peaches, and a few that were close to being ready.
I hope the others can ripen some more in the next couple of days.
I still have hope for my beloved little peach tree...

So now here I was...stuck with a million BEAUTIFUL peaches!!!

But Heather was so sweet to offer me her expertise and her services...
So we got together tonight and bottled some peaches.
I hope to get some jam made and to bottle a lot more.
And I will freeze a bunch for smoothies too.
Thanks Heather...it was a really fun night!

Lesson learned...

So I guess you should never brag about your awesome peach tree...
Cause then bad things might happen!!!
The trunk isn't broken...I am wondering if there is a possibility to save it...I am not sure what kind of shape the roots are in though...
I think the ground was too wet, and the tree was too heavy...I don't know.
But I am sad.

Restaurant disappointment...

There has been a Chinese restaurant being build for the longest time.
We love Chinese food...but have yet to find a good one since we have moved to Boise...which is sad, we have been here almost 9 years now...
So we were excited when this one we had been watching, finally opened up!
So we tried it out tonight.
We were not very happy with it.
Like Brent said tonight, maybe our expectations were too high...but I sure wish we could find a good one like China Bowl was in Orem, Utah...
Here is Elsie signing 'Restaurant'.
It is the letter 'R' wiping the sides of your mouth like with a napkin...
Such a sweet little face, right???

One little surfer boy...and a million peaches!

I can't believe what a blondie this little guy has become!
He is my little surfer boy!!!!
A darn cute one!
***********
Look at my BEAUTIFUL peach tree....
Beautiful because it is giving me so many peaches!!!
We have some branches anchored so they don't bust off with the load of peaches on them!!!
I am so glad that we planted this peach tree a few years ago.
I am so excited to finally get a chance to can some peaches this year!!!

Home at last...

Oh man...this vacation was anything but relaxing!!!
But we are so glad we got to be there with Mel and Nathan for their special day and that we got to attend Andy's farewell...that kid can sure command an audience...he is gonna make one heck of a missionary!!!
Elsie got to ride Strip again today...one last farewell until our next visit...
The ride home was...well, noisy.
Let's just say,I can't wait to get back to normal...with normal amounts of sleep for ALL of us!!!

For Time and All Eternity...

Melodie and Nathan were married in the Salt Lake Temple today...
Which is kinda fun, because it is my parents 35th wedding anniversary today.
They are a pretty great little couple...
With a BIG family...

A hard days work...

Oh, and it feels so good!!!
Today we re-shingled Mindi's house.
I wasn't planning to go out there...but the boy was sleeping, and Elsie was happy playing...and we were short some boys when the shingles finally came in...
So I got up there and helped out...
It was so much fun.
I am so sore, but it is the good, I worked hard today, kind of sore.
Then we went in town with Mindi and Lexi tonight to the fair for some food and fun.
Lots of pictures to share later.
***********
The big girls spent the entire day playing with Heather and Lauren and Morgan...
They had so much fun.
We finally got home tonight around 10:00 and they all hit the pillows hard!
I hope everyone sleeps awesome tonight...
Still LOTS more to do this weekend...
Tomorrow we are on our way to Springville for a couple days for my sisters wedding, then back to Evanston for Andy's farewell.
************
Now I am gonna go to sleep!

We made it here safely...

Here we are in Evanston...for a very cRaZy weekend...
Lots of stuff to get done in such a short time!
But we are so happy to be here...
Here is a little bit of what we did today after our LONG drive!
I am actually kinda lovin' this picture...
This is down by the river...the kids had fun skipping rocks, and getting really wet!
Too bad I'm not wearing any make-up, or I would use it for our Christmas picture...ha, ha...Brent wishes!
The boy helped Grandpa out with the goats and in the store.
Porter loves it here!

Here he is, begging Bumpa for a Pepsi that he found in Grandpas lunch bag...

Sweet sisters...

Cass, feeding Strip...
We are gonna ride her tomorrow!
Elsie is so excited!

Playing with Strip some more...

Posing in front of Strip...
I just have to say that my Madi is such a great helper with Elsie.
Thanks Bell, for being so amazing!

Taking a ride in the mule with Grandma.
It was a fun day...
I am sure tomorrow will be just as great, if not better!!!
