Monday March 15

Porter went out to do the chores this morning and find two baby bunnies has jumped out of the nest.

Both cold and dead.

One was totally gone and the other he rubbed it for a bit and got it warmer and it started to show signs of life.

He brought it in and we wrapped it in a heat blanket.

That cute little guy lived!

Port saved him!

Hopefully mom will be good at taking care of him!

Dad and Porter made a better nesting box this afternoon.

So hopefully he doesn't hop out again.

He was so sad about the other little guy!

He tried really hard to get him to come back to life, but no luck.

He buried him back by the chickens.

We talked about different types of books in ELA today and looked and my grandad's autobiography.

Pretty fun!

Then I trimmed my hedge bushes while the boys worked on the bunny box.

 

Friday March 12 - Sunday March 14

I cannot believe I went so many days without writing!!!!

We had our long lost friends, the Coes, cube and visit.

It was because of Darren and Sheryl that Brent and I even met!

It has been probably 18 years since we have seen each other, but it didn't feel like a day has passed!!!!

Our kids got along freakishly well!

They even pulled an all-nighter one night!

It was the most fun couple of days.

On Saturday we hiked to jump creek falls.

It was a beautiful day.

They came with us to church on Sunday and a pretty cool thing happened there.

Sheryl knew I knew her cousin, but didn't realize we were in the same ward 

Her cousin wasn't going to come to church because she is actually very sick and had no energy from chronic health problems.

But she came!

The meeting itself was beautiful... Talking about getting through trials.

Then Sheryl came up to her after church and it was the sweetest reunion!!!!

The left Sunday evening, they waited a bit so Darren could say hi to Drew.

Darren, Brent and Drew ask went to the fire academy together.... Many years ago!

So the Young's came over for dinner Sunday night.

It was fun to be with them.

We're don't get to hang out with them often enough!!!

 

Thursday March 11

 I am feeling really grumpy today.

Probably because I didn't go to the gym or go run.

We worked on school.

Then I went grocery shopping....

Went to Costco then had to do that stuff off at home and then go to Walmart for more.

I think I'm just tired too.

We have friends coming to visit tomorrow.

The Coe's are coming to check out BYU-I for their son and they are stopping here to visit too.

It's been almost 20 years since we have seen them!

We owe them a lot, they are the ones that introduced Brent and I!!!

Tuesday March 9 - Wednesday March 10

I becoming an every other day blogger....dang it!

Tuesday was school and cleanup around the house.

Dad had a dentist appointment.

The girls and I had a YW/RS stake activity that was really nice.

Today, school went good.

Elsie wrote this cute poem for her assignment about Emmy ❤️

We painted our upstairs doors today 😂

Better late than never!

Seriously!!!!

Port started flag football practice tonight.

Dad and Porter had YMs, then dad had a meeting.

Oh.... And Cassi and Josh broke up ☹️

 

Sunday March 7 - Monday March 8

Dad was forced back at work on Sunday, which was a bummer.

He has lots of stuff/appointments for church stuff.

We had to cancel the young's coming over for dinner.

And just a bummer he had to be gone so long!!!

One of our missionaries is going back to Mexico, so they wanted to come by to say goodbye.

I had some cheesecake for them and it was a nice little visit.

I had to leave and go to a fireside.

But then dad got relieved and was able to come home at night.

Yay!

I chopped my own hair this morning 😏

Today we did some fun stuff in school...we did a yeast science project.

After school, Port and dad did some shop class changing the oil in the cars.

Then they started working on some enclosures for Port's baby animals 😂

They got rained out for a little bit.

Elsie and Cassi went for a bike ride, before it rained.

Hopefully we can start doing that every day!

Elsie has continued her daily reading with Emmy.

She has also started to do daily scripture study reading with Madi, so that's fun.

We got Madi's stickers that they are so cute!

 

Friday March 5 - Saturday March 6

Friday we did school.

I did a late lunch with Jenni.

Our birthdays are a week apart and it's always fun to hang out around that time ❤️

I wish we could get together more often!

I love my time with her.

Today I went to the gym.

Then we did laundry and cleaning settings the house.

Elsie worked in a lot of art today.

She made an art group with Madi, and the prompt for this week (and last week) is farm.

Cassi submitted a cool poem and Porter took my good camera, and after a little run down on how to use the camera, he went out and got some really great shots.

It's a late night.... Port and I got in the hot tub at 9:30 😂

At least we can sleep in a little bit tomorrow.

 

Thursday March 4

It was an amazing day outside today!!!!

Except this evening when I was trimming my raspberries and Goose pooped on me!

It literally felt like a baseball hit me in the neck!!!!!!

The sad thing is....this is not the first time a bird has pooped on me!!!

Elsie was a little grumpy again this morning.

Luckily, dad took over math today 👍🏻

She works better for him.

Port and dad shot some squirrels today.

They actually didn't want to... But they have been eating all of Maters food and Mater just sits there and watches them!!!!

I went for another run today.....so good to get out there more, but I am very slow 😂

 

Wednesday March 3

Today is my birthday!

It was a pretty great day.

I did my classes at the gym.

Then the kiddos and I did school.

I thought it would be a good idea to do do school, because they have to be nice to the teacher when it's their birthday 😏

After schooling, I went and did she shopping.

I had some nice visits from friends today.

Emmy sent me some yummy treats too ❤️

Elsie and Madi have decided they are going to do some daily scripture study together, so I think that's great.

Porter made aunt Kays peanut butter bars for his treat this evening for YM.

They were supposed to bring a treat that means something to them and their family...and we have great memories of Aunt Kay's PB bars.

This evening, dad took me to Barbecoa for dinner.

It was soooo yummy!

 

Tuesday March 2

 It was a beautiful day outside today!

I can't wait for the weather to get nice and stay nice!

Elsie was not willing to do schoolwork this morning, claiming she was too tired.

So I let her go back to bed.

Then after lunch, we had science and she had to make up her ELA and math.

She also had her online classes with her reading teacher and her social group class.

Those both went really well.

I went for a run today while she was doing those classes and also reading to Emmy 😁

It was nice to get out again....but it was slow going!!!

Dad and Elsie also went for a nice bike ride today....excited to get that back into the mix of things.

We finally finished all Elsie's schoolwork by about 5.

Hopefully she will stop putting off the schoolwork during schooltime!!!!

Porter had his lifting class.

Our ARP meeting had technical difficulties tonight, so it didn't happen.

Pretty sad about that.

But hopefully next week will work out ❤️

They are wanting to go back in person!

We will see.

Monday March 1

We had a great time today with Madi ❤️

We started with picking up Elsie's new glasses 😁

We went to Costa vida for lunch and then got subs treats at trader joe's.

At home, we let every person pick a game to play....

So that was fun.

Bubble and Eldon came over with a plate of cookies.

Logan picked Madi up around 4:30 and they headed for home.

We will see them again in a few weeks ❤️

Can't wait!
