Sunday August 23

We had a our regular home church today....just missing Madi and Logan.

But I guess that is gonna be our new normal soon :(

I can't believe they will be leaving in one week!!!!!

I am excited for them but I sure will miss having them around!

After our home sacrament, lunch, then Sunday school, we had a little quiet time.

Then Port had roadside talks with the boys and Vern, Elsie and I decided to ride in the middle of the day to avoid mosquitoes.

It was totally cloudy until we decided to ride!!!!

But we kept a good pace and got 4 miles done.

We had dinner then got our backpacking stuff ready.

We are leaving tomorrow to take Cassi this time.

When Madi and Logan got home, Bubble came over because she wanted to see their 'apartment' before they start packing up their stuff.

Stacia also came over because she wanted to give Madi and Logan their wedding gift :)

So we had fun talking with everyone and hanging out and eating the chocolate cake bubble brought over :)

 

Saturday August 22

I had a fun time taking the Young's family pictures this morning.

When I got home, I went for a run and dad went to the gym.

The guy came to fix the well, it's great to have water again!

This evening dad and I had a date night in, with the littles.... Cassi chose to hang out with friends.

We got Costa vida and watched The One and Only Ivan.

It was a fun little night.

Madi and Logan drove to Utah for a wedding, they will head home tomorrow.

Friday August 21

 Well, not so fun need today.

Last night our water started sputtering out the faucets.

Of course dad was gone to work....

We see just told the kids not to flush the toilets (because it made violent noises in the pipes that felt like the house was gonna fall apart) and we used out gallon water jars for brushing teeth, washing hands, etc.

After going to the gym this morning, I was hoping it would magically get all better.....

It didn't.

Dad finished up his class this morning and was able to leave the cleanup to the other guys do he could get home and help us out.

He and Porter worked for hours trying to figure the problem.

Brent is so exhausted from teaching the class and going on calls.

We called for help 😁

They came, dad pulled the roof of the wellhouse, and they pulled the pump out from 150 ft down.

The pump has exploded, so there would be no magical (free) fixing if itself.

Parts are ordered and a new pump should get installed tomorrow.

Meanwhile, we are blessed with the best neighbors, Bubble and Eldon, and they have let us hook our hose up to their house so we can have water.

They just really are the best ❤️

I waited all day to go grocery shopping because I was hoping to shower first..... But that never happened.

So I just went shopping and Madi rode bikes with Elsie and Vern so they could about the mosquitoes later in the evening.

They ride 4 miles!

Nice!!!

Thursday August 20

I ran this morning, but I probably waited too long again because it was pretty hot!

Cassi started rugby...... So she's been doing two a days every day.

She sure loves it.

We are kind of praying they don't get to play games this year and that way she can get the good practice and get into rugby sure to play next year... And not get hurt this year!!!

We are happy she's happy, but she needs to be careful!!!

I told her she gets to pay for any more surgeries she has to have!

Port and I spent quite a long time in the garden picking veggies this morning!

Skipped a couple days checking and there was A LOT in there!!!!

Pretty soon my tomatoes are gonna explode!!!

I'm excited!

We swam at the Morgan's for a little bit this afternoon.

Cassi made us quinoa pizza, it was really good.

Bike riding went pretty good.

She went three miles and refused to go any further 😂😂

Maybe we can get 4 tomorrow!

 

Wednesday August 19

Dad left for work this morning.

It's his regular shift, but he is also teaching a class today, tomorrow and Friday.

He said thing went well today, but it is so hot!!!!

I believe the class is trench rescue 

I know he did well, he's a great teacher!

I went to the gym, Madi wanted to catch up on sleep since she had no sleep the night before.... So she didn't go to high with me.

Then Cassi has rugby practice and came with me to our bootcamp class at the gym as well.

I ran a few errands today: returns and also bought a few things.

I took some family occurred up in the foothills this evening.

The lighting was great and I think they turned out fun.

Then we rode two miles with Vern, it was quite dark when we finished because we got a late start today.

 

Monday August 17-Tuesday August 18

We had so much fun with Madi and Logan these last couple days.

Pictures are gonna have to do the talking because I am way too tired to write!
