Sunday August 16

 Well, it's been a day.

It's been a good day.

Porter had a zoom meeting, then we had our family sacrament meeting.

Then we had lunch and got ready for our family pictures.

Porter did go with his leader to meet a new Deacon.

When he got home, we hopped in the car and headed to bogus basin.

It was beautiful up there.

We got fun pictures, but also made a family music video 😁

Pretty excited to see it all put together!

Saturday August 15

I went for a good run this morning after stretching and mediating with Madi.

I'm gonna miss doing that with her when she leaves 😭

Then I worked on alterations for some of the clothes we are wearing tomorrow.

We see gonna go up in the mountains and take our own family pictures.... Oh and make our own music video!!!!

I'm pretty excited!!!

I hope everyone is happy and in good moods tomorrow because it's gonna be great!

Dad and I had a date night.

We are dinner at cheesecake factory and then went to Walmart and d&b 😁

So romantic!

We are getting ready to go backpacking with Madi and Logan on Monday and Tuesday, so we needed to get everything squared away for Monday morning.

I'm excited to get in the mountains again!

Kyra and Cannon hung out over here today and they ride bikes with us this evening too.

Fun times!

Except the mosquitoes are getting worse!!!!

 

Friday August 14

Not much went on today.

Went to HIGH with Madi, and then bootcamp with Cassi.

After I got ready for the day, I left the little ones with Cassi and I went shopping.

I was in the search for nothing for our family pictures we are taking on Sunday.

We are just gonna go up in the mountains and take shots with my camera.

Hoping all goes well 😁

But we are hoping to stay a lot of the day up there and enjoy the nature.

Should be fun ❤️

Cassi went fishing with her friends and then they can't over to hang out this evening.

Dad comes home tomorrow and that sheets makes everyone happy!

Thursday August 13

Oh my goodness!!!

The kids did so good at the dentist!

I was so worried, especially about Elsie.

We got the most perfect hygienist for her and she got Elsie to do everything!!!

X-rays, brushing, even sealent treatments!!!!!

And guess what?!?!

No cavities!!!!!

Porter had two little cavities, but they are in baby teeth, so we just need to wiggle them out.

Cassi, hers is a different story.

I won't say hope many cavities she had, because she is pretty embarrassed....

But there did tell her that it is probably from but flossing good when she had braces ☹️

It's okay, you live you learn and you do better.

When we got home, Cassi went boating with her friends, so that lifted her spirits!

I got all my to-do list done today..... Part of my to-do list involved hobby lobby, so I don't feel bad about that 😉

Tonight, we ride 3 miles and it was so good to have Vern back with us ❤️

She had been really busy putting sprinkler pipe in the fields and she has been so exhausted to ride, but she has the day off today because Billy was at work, so she was charged and ready to ride!

She's the best!

 

Wednesday August 12

 This evening I did an art class with my YW over zoom.

I thin it turned out good, the girls had fun.

Madi did it along with me 😊

Elsie and I ride bikes for a mile, then she stretched while learning Spanish.

She is learning Spanish on dualingo. 

So fun!

We also worked on jumping, and she did a jump with her feet of the ground, she is getting better and better!

Tomorrow I take the kiddos to the dentist, I sure hope things go good 

It's a different place, we changed because this is closer.

We haven't been in so long because our dentist is so far!!!! 😂

Anyway, I know for sure they all have cavities!!!!

Tuesday August 11

Well, Madi sold her Jeep and we sold the trailer today.

We will miss it, but we just never used it... And now we are accumulating backpacking gear, so we didn't need the trailer 😁

This morning I went on a good run with Makenna.

She left back to school this afternoon, but hopefully we can run when she comes back to visit her family.

We also went shopping today at Costco.

That dang Costco!!!!

Our TV broke.... Like the screen would not turn on..... So we went looking for a good Costco deal.

Well, we find a deal, but then a while lot more to buy 😂😂

Tonight, dad and I had our ARP meeting.

We talked about Step 10, which is the first of the maintenance steps.

Checking yourself everyday, admitting when you are wrong, asking the Lord for help with your flaws.

Daily accountability helps keep the pride away.

There is no good that comes from pride!!!!

We must stay humble and teachable.

And I think admitting you are wrong, or that you are sorry is such a blessing that we don't take advantage of.

It allows our hearts to be meek, and soft.

That is 100% what the world needs right now!!!!

We did not ride bikes this evening because we had a neighborhood birthday singing get together for Laura's birthday.

There is supposed to be a meteor shower tonight.... But it's overcast 🤪☹️

Monday August 10

Another late night....

Man, I'm getting kind of bad at blogging lately.

Anyway.... The garden is just exploding and I love it.

I froze some chopped zucchini and squash today.

We listed the trailer for sale.

And dad and Porter watered the lawn.... Someday we will get in-ground sprinklers 😁

I took some family pictures tonight at Kathryn Albertsons park.

The wild flowers there are so pretty right now!!!!!

Then Elsie and I ride bikes with Vern.

Elsie rode her 100th mile today!!!!!!

That is just the coolest!

I'm so proud of her!

Dad took the other kiddos fishing.

They had a fun time and caught 2 1/2 fish 😂😂😂

 

Sunday August 9

It was an enjoyable home church today.

The Sunday School come follow me reading was about the Stripling warriors.

It was a long read, but it was a good one ❤️

We had a little neighborhood get together to try and move the Edwards cows, but the cows had other plans and made it hard.

So Vern called up the mobile butcher.... Who she had scheduled with for the end of September because he's so booked out.... She called him and offered twice the money to butcher tonight!

And I came right away 😂😂

So he had quite an audience for the butchering!

Cassi made us some yummy Chick-fil-A inspired chicken, it was yummy.

Then Vern couldn't ride with us because she had to deliver the cow tounge to a customer 🤪

But Elsie and I rode 3 miles!

She is at 96 miles, so tomorrow we will ride 4 so she can get to 100!!!!!!!

Saturday August 8

Okay.....take me back to the mountains 😂😂

The day has been okay, but man, I also feel on edge!!!!

I guess I didn't meditate this morning, maybe that's why 😉

Anyway......

Everyone kind of slept in.

Porter helped Madi get some to-do stuff done.

Sounds like they will most likely be moving to Bend Oregon by the beginning of September.

It stinks to have them leave, but it's also an exciting adventure for them.

Plus, Bend is a beautiful place to visit.

Logan's company wants him to go out there and manage a group and that means a year commitment.

But they will both still be doing online school, so that's good.

I did kid of laundry today.

I went for a 6 Mile run.

Tried to convince the kids to put laundry away.

I am trying to dehydrate some green beans.....I thought they would turn out crisp, but they seem to just be leathery.

Oh well, I can still rehydrate and use in recipes 👍🏻

I have oodles of veggies.

I think I will freeze some zucchini and squash.

Elsie and I are gonna pickle some cucumbers on Monday, so that will be fun.

Vern either all day don't sprinklers, so she opted out of riding.

We almost didn't ride, because Elsie had a full on meltdown because I asked her to put the dishes away...........

Stinker.

But we did go, for a mile.

And talked to bubble and Vern while out there.

Elsie had PT.

I had a good run.

Pumpkins are already getting giant!

Bike ride was successful 😊
