Sunday September 10

It was a great sacrament meeting today.

Talking and teaching about loving one another.

And it was Malia White's farewell, and there was quite the turnout for that!

Elsie was a very big stinker when it came to going to class!

Major fits and meltdowns!!!!!

She needs to stop having late nights!

That girl needs her sleep!

Finally, after several bribes and also threats, she went for singing time.

She is one stubborn little girl!!!!!

After church the little ones went to the Halls house and the big girls and I went to the youth family history.

It was a pretty good day, besides the Elsie fit at church :)

Saturday September 9

Lots of stuff got cleaned today, yay!!!!

Except it was stuff that should have already been clean!!!!!!

All the laundry got put away, rooms cleaned, lawn mowed, Saturday morning chores got done.

Each of the kids got to hang with friends today.

Elsie went and hung out with Sierra for a while.

Cassi went to a movie and had some fun with Molly and Lily.

Then they came back over here afterwards.

Port had a birthday party tonight.....until 10:30!!!!!

And Madi babysat for mom and dad while we went out to eat with Paul and Stacia.

We went to eat at Isumi....or something like that.

It is a Japanese steakhouse.

Then we went and got some ice cream.

It was a lot of fun.

When we got home, Madi left to go to a friends house with a bunch of other friends.

So now we are waiting for her to get home....

Oh and we are watching the BSU game!

But I think everyone had a fun day after all their hard work :)

I also went and took Sydney's senior pictures, now that the sky has cleared a bit!

Friday September 8

I had a hard time getting myself going today!!!!

And I didn't accomplish much more than laundry, getting a workout, and picking stuff in the garden.

Dad was called in for an overtime shift.....and told to bring his wild land stuff in case they get called out.

He is starting to think it's not gonna happen.

It's too bad.

But we still have until Sunday that he can get called in.

So we will just wait and see.

Porter's game got cancelled because of the poor air quality.

And we had our ward BBQ moved indoors, but not cancelled.

So we went to that for dinner and it was a fun time.

We did a really fun thing!

So you get everyone to log into Family Search Tree and then there is a tab that says 'Relatives around me'

And it searches the people around you and find how you are related!!!!!

I found someone who is a 4th cousin to me!

Kinda fun!

It got people talking and getting to know each other1

I would say it is a great little activity for a ward to do as an ice breaker!!!

It would be fun in a Relief Society activity too :)

It would even be fun to do with the YW!

Anyway.....

Port had fun driving Sierra around once the gym was cleaned up....and Sierra thought he was a pretty good driver.

She had big smiles the whole time :)

After the dinner, Stacia came over and we hung out and chatted.

Vern stopped by for a little bit too.

Max and Graham and Cannon and Port played around until about 9:30ish.

Cassi babysat this evening and Madi is out with friends....so I am just waiting for her to come home.

Thursday September 7

So, they haven't sent him yet.

And now we got word that it could be any time from now until Sunday!

Let me tell you, it makes for a very frustrating day!

Every call or every text you wonder if it is it, and you feel like you can't go anywhere because you don't know what kind of time period they will give him to get there....

It is kinda annoying :(

But something fun did happen today!

Madi got asked to homecoming!

It was the cutest thing!

Tripp left school early and came with his mom and sisters to set up.

He was ready to go when Madi drove down the lane.

He started playing the UP theme song when she walked up to him.

It was the cutest thing!!!!!!

He gave her a little adventure book and on the front page it was labeled 'Homecoming'.

SO CUTE!!!!

Then after school, Cassi had a volleyball  game, and she rocked it!!!!!!!!!!

They won!

Yay!

And Cassi had amazing serves and great hits!

She really is getting good at it.

I don;t know if I mentioned it or not, but she was voted Team captain, which is super awesome :)

I had to leave in between games to take Porter to 'Back to school night'.

Then I went back and caught the last part.

Then it was Elsie and my turn to go to 'Back to school'.

It went good and I think it will be a great year!

Thursday September 6

I worked  for a few hours in the office at the school this morning.

When I got home it was around lunch time and Dad got a call asking if he would be willing to go with a team to fight fire in Oregon.

There are so many fires burning right now it is crazy!

Today we reached purple....which is really bad!

The kids have not had any recess for the last two days.

Anyway.....so he was put on this team that might leave tomorrow morning.

It is scary.

Bu it does make me proud that he is the go-to guy that they pick for stuff.

We will see how things pan out.

He would be gone for 7 days.

This evening I watched Everly while Sherrie took Porter to scouts (Sherrie is a scout leader now too :)

Elsie went to activity days with Sierra and Kyra.

Dad went to Cassi's volleyball game.

As soon as Sherrie picked up Everly, I went to the church for the 'Back to camp' set up.

It went good tonight.

Lots of fun and I think the slideshow turned out really good :)

Woohoo!

Two thumbs up for procrastination!!!!!!

Ha ha ha...

Going to bed, Port was having a rough time.

He kept talking about how he didn't want to go to school.

Coming up with all kinds of excuses.

After talking to him, it came right down to him being worried and feeling some anxiety about Dad leaving.

It breaks my heart to see him like that.

We helped calm him and got him to bed.

I am not sure how he will be if Dad actually leaves.....

I mean, he will be okay, but he will be sad for a little while.....

Tuesday September 5

So besides the gym and some laundry, I spent my day working on the YW girls camp slideshow!

I am excited to have it done....now I just have to save it in high definition and cross my fingers it works!!!!!!

I did have a scary moment after I picked up the kids.

So I used Madi's computer, so I put all the pictures from my computer on to a thumbdrive.

Well, I needed the thumb drive to save something else, so I removed it....

But I had already saved the project.

Well, when I came back to work on it......the pictures were ALL GONE!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in a bit of a panic!

Well, I put the thumbdrive back, and saved the pictures to the computer.

Then I went to the first blank spot where a picture was supposed to be and it said 'Find the Photo', so I clicked on that and went and found the first picture.

Well, it replaced that picture and I thought I would have to do that for each picture...(we are talking like 300 pictures!)

But lucky for me, it replaced them ALL with that single click!!!!!

Yay!!!!

Hallelujah!!!!

Madi went to a movie and the HS girls volleyball game.

Cassi had volleyball practice.

Elsie had speech therapy and worked hard.

And Port went to his friend Christian's house.

Tomorrow is the 'Back to camp' night.

I am happy to have the slideshow done.....and I am wishing I didn't push it off until the last day.

Maybe I will learn my lesson, but probably not.

Monday September 4

I took some of the Beehives with me to decorate for another birthday this morning.

The rest of the day was kinda lazy.

I tried to figure out the slide show thing....which is finally figured out....I just need to spend all day putting it together.......

Fingers crossed that I have no hiccups with that!!!!!

Cassi went out shopping with her friends, Mollie and Avery.

Port hung out with the neighborhood boys all day long as well.

Later in the afternoon, the Morgans invited us over for a swim.

Not too many pool days left!

We hung out there...then decided to throw stuff together and have a combined dinner.

It was fun hanging out with them and having a little tiny Labor Day party :)

We got home and got everyone showered and in bed!

Sunday September 3 (add pictures)

We had such a fun time in McCall.

We had another yummy french toast breakfast.

Then we got things cleaned up and started some laundry.

Then we headed up to Brundage to take a hike.

It was a beautiful hike to a waterfall.

Everyone did so good.

It was a pretty hard hike for kiddos and they did so good!

Elsie rocked it!

Going back, there was a lot of uphill.....but she did so good and I am so proud of her!!!!!

I am sure she will be really tired tomorrow!

I hope she has a good night!

Last night was a rough one for us!

About midnight, Brent jumped up and says 'I think I just got stung!'

He went in the bathroom and turned the light on, and I looked over and saw a yellow jacket crawling on his pillow!!!!!

Crazy!

You don't think you ever have to worry about getting stung while you sleep!!!!!

Then Elsie got up about 3.

I had her come and sleep on the couches and I slept by her.

Then Cassi came down and was crying because her shoulder hurt.

It has been bothering her...she must have done something in volleyball...but the paddle must have aggravated it.

So I gave her some ibuprofen and then had her try and sleep by Elsie and me....but she was too noisy (moving around), I ended up sending her back up to bed.

So we were extra tired this morning.

I hope everyone sleeps good tonight so I can sleep good tonight!!!!

After the hike, we headed back to the cabins and finished our cleanup and headed home.

It is good to be home.

We did have such a great time.

A nice relaxing get away!

Friday September 1 (add pictures)

We made it to McCall, finally!

Along with all the other people from Boise!!!!!

We stopped at the pancake House as soon as we got into town at about 7:30. 

Lots of food and fun with the Halls.

I think we will have a fun little weekend here ❤
