We LOVE Independence Day!!!!
We had such a great 4th of July.
We were all SO exhausted...
but it was so much fun.
The day started off early (5:00 a.m. to be exact)
We headed to Provo for the Hot air balloon launch.
I have good memories of doing this as a kid and I couldn't wait for my kiddos to see it too!
They thought it was GREAT!!!

Then we went back to Grandmas house a.k.a. The Homestead
And spent time taking naps and relaxing and just having fun.

Oh and getting DIRTY!!!
Here are the famous Triplets!!!
They only let us get good pictures when they are dirty and grubby!!!
Okay...doesn't matter...they are adorable no matter what!!!

We had planned to go watch the Fireworks by the Stadium of Fire...

But we were so tired...we just went back to the Holdaways house for a few fireworks and then off to bed. We had such a great trip. Thanks to everyone who made it so great!!!

I LOVE thrift store shopping!!!
I am not much of a thrift store shopper...
But after today...I am going to be!!!
I am looking for a small trampoline for Elsie, with or without a bar...
If it doesn't have a bar, I will have Brent make one.
But a little trampoline would be great for her and therapy.
So that was what I was on the hunt for.
Well...we didn't find a tramp...
But I found some other GREAT stuff!!!
I got all these vintage sheets that will all one day be some part of quilts, bags, or clothes...YAY!!!
I also got some great pillow cases to make some cute jammies for the girls...
I will show those when I get around to it!
Anyway...we had a lot of fun.
Oh yay, and the girls got to get a lot of great books...for very cheap!!!
Can't beat that!!!

We LOVE Aunt Mel!!!
I sure wish I had a picture of the girls and Melodie.
My little sister Mel took these 4 girls for the entire day to the Freedom Festival...by herself!!!
WooHoo...you rock Mel.
I am told she had Lily and Cassi on leashes...I bet that was a funny sight to see!
And better than that...she did the entire day without spending money!!!
Pretty cool!
They got their hair done and face painted, watched magic shows...they could go on and on with the stories.
But I was so grateful to Mel for taking the time out to spend the time with these girls.
She gave them an awesome day to remember!!!
(Lily-Siamese cat, Cassi-butterfly, Madi-butterfly, and Aarynn-butterfly. Lily and Aarynn are my sister, Aprils, kids. They are down visiting for about 6 weeks until April and Tom meet back up with us for our Fam reunion.)
What fun face painting jobs, huh!!!
(Madi in the leaves..totally her idea!)
I love how Cassi's eyes just POP!!!

We LOVE home-made productions....
Madi and Cassi have been making up 'plays' today.
They have quite the imagination.
This is Madi as Medusa, and Cassi as a 'Permaid'.
A 'Permaid' you ask...
Well, a person and mermaid, or course!
They crack me up!
But the costumes are always the best.
Madi's skirt is a size 3 dress, with the neck around her waist.
And a size 2 slip as her top.
Cassi is wearing a snow white Halloween costume that I made a few years ago.
With the back of the skirt pulled up over her head, of course!
And an apron from my sisters wedding, also a few years ago.
And her skirt is one of those Hawaiian wraps.
I just love it!!!
But mostly I LOVE that they played for hours without fighting!!!
YAY for that!!!

We LOVE the 'Homestead'

A few years back, before my Grandma passed away, my Mom was able to buy her home from her.
My Mom has really put alot of work and effort into that place.
She now has bees, chickens, and goats.
Quite the farm.
The kids had so much fun there playing with the animals.
My favorite part....
Well, my parents ust recently got some fainting goats.
I never got to see them faint...
But my favorite part was watching my Dad trying to get them to faint.
I will video tape it next time.
My Dad is just completely adorable!!!
Elsie just loved feeding the goats and she wanted to stay there the whole time.

But she thought the chickens were pretty cool too.

The big girls.
They were having so much fun...
I know, they look kinda grumpy...
But thatis their new thing when I take their pictures...
Silly girls!

Some frisbee time.

Brent REALLY wants a hammock after spending some time in these.
Very relaxing!!!

And I just love this shot.

My Dad is a suspender kinda guy.

We just made Porter into his Mini-me...

Out of order......

I know...
The numbers are all out of order...
I am just trying to update the stuff we did while we were on vacation.
And I wanted to keep the right corresponding numbers so I can put them into my blog book in the right order....when it comes that time.
So, just ignore the mixed up numbers...just a few more days to catch up on!

We LOVE spending time as a family!!!
Oh my goodness...
Could my boys get any cuter!!!
Today we had a pretty lax day.
A bit of playing outside mixed with some Wii fun.
Some nap time.
Then after dinner we had some S'mores.
I just love my family.
I know we all drive each other crazy...alot of the time.
But when it comes down to it,
There is no one else I would rather be with then my little family.
Seriously.
I can't believe how lucky I am to have the amazing kids that I do...
And not to mention the best husband in the world!
More S'mores please!!!!

Cassi's S'mores face (on her thumb)

The girls and I like to watch a blog called Faces in Places

And the girls have so much fun finding faces in all sorts of places...

Cassi noticed this one tonight...pretty cute!

We LOVE crazy Grandma faces!!!!
Don't you just love it!
I couldn't get him to eat his green beans.
But Grandma got him to finish them off!
Silly boy.
Silly Grandma!
The girls got to climb this tree.
I used to spend hours climbing this tree in my Grandma's yard.
It was, and still is the perfect climbing tree!!!
