Cassi didn't have school today because it is was Senior Project day.
Madi got to sleep in a bit and go later to make her presentation.
She did a great job, according to her :)
She was given her cap and gown, and tried it on for me.
It started to tug my heart string a bit!
Wowza….it's really happening!!!!
So exciting.....but scary too!
Am I ready to give her out to the world?!?!?!
But also, I am so excited to see what she goes and does!
I had to run some stuff to the UPS store, which took much longer than planned.
Then I bought some flowers as decorations for the YW speaker tomorrow.
I got home and then left again for a YW leader meeting at Sherries.
When I got home, Elsie was so excited to tell me what she made is FCS (Family Consumer Science).
They made cheddar cheese popcorn.
She wanted to show me how she made it, so she made it for us!
It was so cute how excited she was!
She knew exactly what to do and it turned out pretty yummy!
She getting so big and it's pretty exciting to see her get excited about doing now big kid stuff :)
Porter had football practice that I had to get him early from because tonight was the Pinewood derby.
And guess what?????
Porter won first place!!!!!!
It was so fun, his car was fast!
He won by just a hair!
But pretty cool that he will be the last 1st place car that Shafer View ward will ever have.
After the race the kids were playing and a little kid got ahold of Ports car and threw it and it broke a little.
He was really bummed, but I told him we can fix it up.
I think he was so exhausted and that always makes things feel more emotional!
Dad had an exciting day.
More helicopter training, but this time they also got called for an actual rescue.
Brent was the one to pick the team and come up with the rescue plan.
It was a 97 year old woman stuck in her home in a flood in Grangeville.
He didn't go on the rescue, because he was the one in charge, which is pretty cool itself.
But, he said that there is a kayak rescue that is way up in Yellow Pine.
A man with two broken arms and a punctured lung.
They can't get to him right now because the weather is so bad.
They have plans to fly out 4:30 am.
This time he goes on the rescue, if the guy holds out for that long.
Sounds so bad!!!!
No one can reach him and his friend!
Hopefully they can help them!
