It was a great day at church today.
The girls went early for choir practice, so we got a good bench seat :)
After church we finished up getting stuff ready for the little surprise party we have been putting together for the Morgans!
I haven;t said anything here, because they read the blog :)
So the last few days, the cooking and stuff we have done have been for this party!
I had invited the Morgans to come over for dinner tonight.
But I had also arranged the rest of our neighborhood "family" to come over......without the Morgans knowing.
We did a fun thing and made a dish or dessert from each of the places the Morgan's will be going.
We split up the locations between everyone.....with 12 different places they are going!
We had Spain and Dad made an awesome Chorizo and vegetable stew.
We also had Italy, and I made a pasta, potato and cabbage dish called Pizzoccheri.
I also made a chocolate Mousse from France.
Madi had Iceland and made an Icelandic celebration cake called Vinarterta.
And Cassi made a yummy Costa Rican rice pudding!
The girls did such a great job with their recipes!!!!
We had dishes from Austria, Greece, Germany, New Zealand and Thailand.
It was quite the spread!!!!!
It was such a fun night!
I just love this little neighborhood family of ours!
I would love to say we are just so lucky to have each other....
But I don't think it's luck.
I think we are all in each others lives because we all needed each other!
We are just so very blessed!
And I am so thankful!
We ate, talked, hung out, ate some more....the big girls all entertained us with their funny weird facts, and then we all ate more!
I think we all left about 15 pounds heavier!!!!
We are going to miss them SOOOOOO much!!!!!
But we are also so excited to see all the fun things they get to experience!
