Happy Birthday America!

There was some major fighting during the day.

We have seen the best of our kids in the last few weeks, but we have also seen the worst!!!!!

And I don't think the heat helps.

We are downstairs now....mostly.

Still need to move the fridge and stove downstairs.....but everything else is pretty much down here.

It stays pretty cool.

I close all the vents upstairs and hung a thick blanket in the stairwell....so that helps out.

Later in the afternoon, we went to the fire station to visit Dad.

We took popsicles to share....

I was going to make cookies.....but it was way too hot to cook!

Anyway, we were going to take a little holiday family picture, until Dad got a call and had to head out.

So I took one of the kiddos.

We went home and headed to the Morgan's party at 6:00.

Swimming, yummy food, good company, shaving cream fights, human rubber band, volleyball, oh and fireworks....lots of fun.

It was so sweet of the Morgans to invite us.

It was a family party for them.....just like last year.

They all remembered us from last year.

Great people :)

Elsie found her same friend she had last year, Rachel.

I looked back at last years post, and found out that I have not yet posted that day yet :(

There are quite a few days like that.

Anyway.

It was a fun night.

We left about 11.

But the big girls went with the Morgan big girls to the school to watch the fireworks around the city.

Then Stacia brought them home around midnight.

It was a fun 4th of July for all.

Wish we had dad with us though :(
