Saturday July 5

Well, today was hot.
Port came in my room at about 5:50, wanting to wake up.
I told him NO WAY (it was a really late night!!!)
I talked him into laying back down with me in bed.....
He fell back asleep and next thing I know it was 8:30 and Bob was calling me, asking me for my garage code so he could get in and get his tools.
He worked on the decking today....
I haven't slept in past 8:30 for soooo long!
Port and Elsie slept until about 9 and the big girls were up around 9:45.
So it was a late start to the day.
I went running at 4:00, but it was way too hot, so I only went a couple miles.
Then we barricaded ourselves downstairs to keep cool most of the day.
We watched a movie and got some laundry done.
It felt like a wasted not being on the roof or working on the house with dad :(
But I guess we all need a break every now and then.
Around 2:30, I got a call form Carley inviting Madi and Porter to go play and swim with her and Cannon.
I asked if Cassi could go too, because I know she would feel bad not going.....Avery wasn't home, that's why they didn't think to invite her originally....
While I was getting port ready to go swim...I decided to call Stacia and invite myself to swim.
I don't do that.
Like ever...invite myself over :)
But, like I said, it was hot, and having something to pass the time sounded great.
Stacia and Avery were at a family baby shower, but she said she would be more than happy to have an excuse to leave :)
So she headed home and we all swam for a little bit before Elsie and I had to leave to get ready to go to the stake baptisms.
The other kids stayed and played.
After the baptisms, we had dinner and watched another movie.
So ya, kind of a wasted day.......
But I did get some laundry done :)

I actually think it was over 100* in there....but I don't think there is a spot for a third digit :)

I'm glad you were able to swim a while to cool down!
