Friday June 13

So we have been 'excavating' all day :)

We got the lines where we needed to dig and Dad got to work with Steve's backhoe.

It worked great.

There was a lot of dirt to move.

We got it almost done.....just a little more to do.

Dad dug the trenches and I went in with the shovel to big out the extra and smooth the bottom.

I should have taken a picture later in the day, but I forgot to.

Man.....I am tired.

I know Dad is too....

It was a long day.

Oh, I forgot that after I ran this morning, the girls and I weeded the garden...before starting excavation.

It was great to have their help.

We also made our tomato cages and got them on the tomatoes....all 14 of them :)

The garden is looking good.

A few things didn't come up....carrots and onions....

But other things, we have a plethora!!!!

Like watermelon and cantaloupe.

I need to just transplant the melons on over to the carrot spot :)

Later this evening we have some friends over.

They used to be in our ward, and moved to Nampa.

He works for the Nampa Fire department, but just tested and got hired on the Boise department....

So he and his wife had some questions, so we had them over for some s'mores.

It was a fun time, but time went quickly, and here we are late at night again.

And exhausted!
