Thursday June 12

Dad came home this morning after getting our last permit for the house.

So we are good to go.

The guy who is excavating the front of the house is out of town until the end of next week, so Brent decided to do it on his own.

He got a good start and then he is borrowing Steve's little backhoe tractor to finish the job.

We took the grass he dug up and put ii in front of the willows up front where he buried the ditch that used to be there.

It looks pretty good for piecing together some grass :)

Port played all day out on the dump truck.

The dump truck has the old fridge in it, and Port has decided he is going to take the whole thing apart.

And he is determined.

He makes me laugh.

I finally made him go inside to get out of the sun.

Madi packed up all of her room and she is sleeping down with Port tonight.

He was pretty excited to have her with him.

We will see how long the bedroom sharing excitement lasts!

Elsie got 3 buffalo coins from the tooth fairy last night, and none were stolen from her piggy bank.

Tooth fairy as able to scrounge them up along with two horse ones and a tree one :)

She was a happy girl.

Cassi played with Avery today and she swam at their house.

Dad and I went on a little date night tonight.

We went to dinner and a movie.

We saw 'Edge of tomorrow' and we both really liked it.

I laughed a lot in it too, it had some pretty funny parts.

Madi was great and had all the kiddos in bed when we got home.

Gotta get some good sleep, tomorrow is gonna be a cooler day, so we can work a little longer outside without dying!!!

I need to weed the garden and transplant some of the melon plants.....and I still haven't planted any pumpkins yet...............

I have pictures....but it's late and I need sleep, so tomorrow.
