Today was the day!
Elsie had her first day with Ride for Joy.
It was so much fun for her, and a really great core workout.
I was worried she would be nervous about the strangers taking her and putting her on a horse, that wasn't Strip!
But she was a pro!!!!
She let them put on that tiny helmet, that was way too big for her teeny tiny head.
She hopped up on Elle, and had a great ride.
They taught her some fun stuff.
Elle has a few different command words than what we are used to using with Strip, but Elsie caught on quick.
She looked like a pro up there on Elle.
Well, I guess she kinda is a little pro thanks to Strip! :)
This is therapy....so they did some different things to help work the core and hips.
Elsie walked around for a little while holding this puppy on her head.
This made her have to really work hard to keep her core nice and strong.
She did such a great job.
And she was happy to do everything they asked her to.
When she was done riding Elle, she got to lasso a cone with this little rope.
She was pretty cute about it.
She did a great job with her right hand, but when it was time to switch to the left hand, she kept trying to grab it with her right.
But she did it with her left....and did a great job.

We are excited about this.
Of course it is so fun for her to do the horse thing, since our Strip visits aren't every week!
But it will also be so great for her to get this different kind of therapy.
Working things that don't get to get worked very often.
Yay for Elsie!!!!

That is so cool that Elsie gets to do this. I am sure she will only get stronger and stronger. :)
This is so neat that she gets to do this type of therapy. You can see it in her little face how much she love being on that horse and I'm sure it gives her so much confidence feeling independent and doing what she loves most. Shes a lucky little girl to have you as parents who will push her. Your kids are adorable and you really have the perfect little family.
She looks so cute! What a fun way to get a little therapy! We are so happy that she gets to do this!
That is so cool. One of my daughters dreams is to have a ranch like this.
