Friday June 8

Boy oh boy....it has been a busy and fun day!
When I woke up I went and listened/read my scriptures on the deck.
Then Port came out and joined me before we went and woke up the girls.
Then When they got up and going I left for my run.
I broke my new running shoes in with a 8 mile run....
Port ran the first mile with me, then I kept going.
He wants to go again tomorrow morning :)
Madi took Elsie to the store to buy some otter pops, because what is summer without Otter pops?!?!?!?!
After some lunch, we started trimming the lilac bushes.
We got a LOT done....
There is still more to do, but I may have worked them a little too hard :)
They were ready to quite a little after 2.
I cut them, the big girls and Porter loaded and dumped them in the burn pile.
Elsie helped by breaking off small sticks, Porter did that too.
There was so much that was dead underneath there because of no sun getting to it!
But I am excited about all the new little baby shoots I found.
I need to dig them up and replant them along the fence :)
In a few years it will be Lilac heaven around here!!!!!!
When we got it all cleaned up and got us cleaned up.....we headed to the Young's to swim!
It seems like forever since we have hung out with them!
We had a fun time.
Port teased and caused problems with all the girls.
I think he feels like that is his job!
Madi and Cassi had to leave earlier because Madi had a date and Cassi had a babysitting job.
Once the little ones and I headed home, we had dinner and cleaned up a bit around the house.
We watched a little bit of America's Got Talent.
But then Dad texted me about the Finals game that was on, and Porter went immediately to mom and dads room to watch it.
Too bad my boys didn't get to watch it together like they did last game.
But it sure was cute how into it he was :)

All the branches used to stick out as much as that one that was too big for me to cut :)
It lines right up to the road line.
It made a huge difference!
I just hope it all comes back pretty!!!!!
This is the first time I have trimmed them in the almost 8 years that we have been here!
