Tuesday May 15

I got a few things done today that I have wanted to check off my to-do list before I head to New York this weekend.
But before I started on that, I went for a run.
I wanted to see if I could do my run without taking a stop/break.
And I did it!
I ran 5 miles without stopping!
I did stop a few seconds here or there to scratch my leg, but that doesn't count, right?
Anyway, I was pretty proud that I could accomplish that.
After I got ready for the day, Stacia and I went to the nursery to pick up plants for our gardens.
I really wanted to get my plants and get them planted!
I got my plants.....and I got some planted......
Hopefully I can get them all planted by tomorrow or Thursday
But I am super excited about that.
I just love having a garden!!!!!!
By then it was time to go get the kids from school and then Elsie had her little dance class.
Cassi mowed some more while I was gone to that...but then we ran out of gas.
So Dad will have to finish that up tomorrow......since we have Mutual here at our house.....
This evening we had a financial course for RS that was taught by our Bishop.
He is a CPA.
He did a really great job...it wasn't just about budgeting etc.
It was more about what our agency has to do with it.
And how being unprepared financially or when we are over-focused on temporal things, that can diminish our agency!
I took so many notes and really enjoyed what he had to say.
I found the flip side that bishop talked about very interesting.....that even if we are financially prepared, we may be suffering from an over-focus on temporal things.
And how that can diminish out agency as well.....
It wasn't your usual budgeting class.
I really liked it.
I have been so blessed to have married Brent who has always been so good at not only providing, but being good at saving and great at managing money.
I took Cassi with me so she could babysit in the nursery, because both the men and women were invited to attend.
Too bad Dad is on shift  :(
