Happy Sunday :)

It was another nice Sunday today.

The time change didn't really affect us today...because we have church at 1.

The take-away from the meetings at church today....at least mine.....was to make an effort to choose better over good.

Distance yourself from worldly things.

Take time to allow the spirit to touch your heart.

It is hard in the world now-a-days to keep your head in the game.

So many things to do and get done and we are always going and going.....

But it is important for us to allow some down-time.

To slow down and allow us to feel.

Anyway...something I will try to work on.

This evening the big girls and I had a Bishop/Youth Fireside.

Bishop talked about testimonies.....how in order to have a testimony, the spirit must be able to testify the truth to us.

And again....if we are too busy with all the craziness in our lives to notice the spirit, then we are unable to develop the testimonies that we so desperately need in these days!!!!!!

Dad got a new calling today.

He was called at the 1st counselor in the Elders Quorum. :)

It will be nice for him to have a calling with adults......

I am excited about the size of this ward right now......it seems much more do-able to be able to get to know people!
