Last day of school!!!!!
Woo hoo!
So the kids got off to school and they were all excited for their last day.
I got some stuff done around the house for about an hour before i got a call from Cassi saying her shoe broke at school, and I needed to bring her a new pair.
I was a little pressed for time because I planned to still make a lunch for the kids to take for the family picnic....because I didn't send one with them to school.
So I grabbed the shoes and headed out.
But then I saw a delivery truck for Edible Arrangements pull up to Vern's.....I knew that Wendy and Bob had just left, so she was home alone.
I quick ran over there through the back door so i could answer the front door :)
So I got that for her and talked real quick before I left to take Cass the shoes.
I decided to just stop at McDonald's on the way home for the kids lunches.
I got to the school and we had a fun time there.
Saying goodbye to teachers and friends.
Can't believe school is over!
We came home about 1:00.
Dad had gotten home from holding over at work for a guy who had a kindergarten graduation to get to....
And after Madi got out of school at lunchtime, she brought her friends over here.
So we had a bit of commotion here for a bit.
I went over to visit Vern....and ended up staying a couple hours :)
She is doing so well, and her spirits seems to be high.
She will get results from the test they did next week, so she is a bit nervous about all of that.
So, I am not sure I have written what she is going through.
They found a lump in Vern's breast a few weeks ago,
She immediately decided to do a double mastectomy.
Her mom died of Breast cancer, and so she decided she wanted it all gone.
They are doing tests to see if it has spread, but they are pretty sure it was very small.
Like I said, she doesn't get those results until next week.
So she is recovering and doing really well.
She's a tough chick!
Anyway....while I was over there, Dad was making a deal with a guy and his truck.
We went to look at a truck a few days ago, and the guy wanted to trade the truck and some money for Dad's old tractor.
So the guy brought the truck out and they made the deal.
It is such a beautiful truck!
It is a 1975 f150 and I just am in love with it....and so is dad :)
He got a steal of a deal on it.
The guy didn't know what he had on his hands.
So that is a fun new addition to our farm family.
Sad to see Massy gone, but she did great work for us and it was time for her to find a new home.
Cassi had friends over tonight.
Lots of friends.......
They played games, watched a show, had hot dogs for dinner and played more games and ate treats.
It was fun, but there were way too many friends!
Next time Cassi needs to limit the friends!
There is just so much drama with that many girls!
Porter went to Eli's house for a few hours for a fun school's out party.
Madi and her friends hung out here for a bit then went swimming, then back here for dinner, then to another house into the evening.
Elsie hung out with Mom and Dad.
Elsie hung out with Mom and Dad.
She came with us when we delivered the adjustable bed (that we had borrowed from the Morgan's when Dad broke his back) over to Vern's house.
Dad let Elsie drive (steer) the truck across the street to Vern's :)
She thought that was great!!!!!
Anyway.....Cassi's friends stayed until about 10 and Madi came home after that.
We are all tired but I told them to be prepared for yard and house work tomorrow morning!!!!!
