Friday January 6

Today was another snow day.
Another sleep in day :)
But it was SO COLD outside!!!!!
So there was no outdoor playing!
I got a good workout in and I am excited about getting back in the routine.....
It has bee easier these last few days not to have to wake up at 5:30 to do it.
But I know myself and if I don't get up before the kids get off to school, the likelihood of it getting done is very slim!
So next week I hope I can still be as gung-ho when it is 5:30!
I got all ready for the day and then Elsie, Porter and I went to the dentist.
Still no closer to a real cleaning for Elsie.
BUT....she did let them brush her teeth with a real toothbrush.
She is great and has no cavities.
Port has a couple that are in between teeth....so he needs to be better about flossing!!!!!
After the appointment, I had a YW presidency meeting.
That was great.
By the time I was home it was 4, and time to get dinner ready.
Dad, Madi and I ran over to our neighbors, the Capalls, house (where Dad was today shoveling their driveway and land...) to pick up dads phone and load up some hay from them,
Then we stuck a ham in the oven and then Dad and I made a quick run to Walmart for some needed milk and supplies.
After dinner, Dad ran Madi over to her friends house and at home we watched some telly.
I am exhausted!!!!!
I am not sure if I am ready for Dad to go back to work tomorrow!!!!!
I hope to get some real chores done.....deep bathroom cleaning, laundry put away.
I hope they will cooperate!

Today we have thought a lot about Grandma.
It has been a year now since we lost her.
There is not a day that goes by that we don't think about her.
But also not a day goes by that we don't feel her with us.
She is always near.
Elsie asked today if we could say a special prayer for Grandma.
So she and I did just that.
Praying that we can live our lives in a way to make Grandma proud.
That we can be DRIPs for her.
She was such an amazing example of not only a mother and a friend, but just how to be a good and loving person.
She loved more than anyone I have ever known.
Always wanting to make life better for anyone who needed.
That is how I want to be.
Thank you Grandma, for your amazing example and light.
