It was a wonderful Sunday today :)
Emmy came to church with us.
Porter was called up front to be recognized for his baptism.
He looks so dang cute in that suit!
I did go up and bore my testimony.
I have done it with each child when they got baptized, and I couldn't miss going up for him as well.
When the bishop called him up, he mentioned that Porter's favorite scripture story is The Stripling Warriors.
He loves them because they are like Army guys....and Army guys who don't die!!!!
So cool!!!!
So when I got up, I said how I don't think it is a coincidence that in our family scripture study recently we have been talking about Helaman's army.
We red about how they slept on their swords.
And when you think about when the scripture talks about the Armor of God....the sword is the Holy Ghost!
So I told Porter that I am so excited that he got his very own sword yesterday so now he can fight Satan like a Stripling Warrior!
And as long as he keeps that sword right with him, even sleeping on it at night, then he will win the war too!!!!!
It just takes prayer, reading your scriptures.....doing what's right, and being a nice person!!!!!!
It is a tough fight in our day.....
Satan does not want families to stay together!
It is important that we all be Stripling Warriors!!!!!!!!!
After church Emmy got packed up.
We hung out for a bit before she left.
It was so great to have Emmy here!
She not only made things fun for the kids, but she was such a huge help and life saver for me!!!!
I really enjoyed the time we got to spend together while the kids were at school.
She is pretty much the greatest!
Elsie is bummed that she is gone now, but it won't be too long before we see her again :)
Later on, the girls all went to choir.
Port, dad and I took a little nap.
When Port woke up me (I don't think he really fell asleep), we went and cuddled on the couch and read Christmas stories.
Once the kids were home, we got dinner ready and then watched the Christmas devotional together.
There was a lot of fighting this evening.....
Hopefully it is better tomorrow!
Porter took some time to read his new scriptures before church, while waiting for girls to get ready :)
Madi, listening to her scriptures.
Cass, watching the Christmas devotional with her new, BEAUTIFUL, Emmy blanket!!!!!
