It was such a great day.
Great day at church.
Elsie was supposed to give the closing prayer in primary....something we have been prepping her for all week.
Well, when it came time, Dad said she shut down.
Like, he didn't think there was an coming back from the melt down she had.
BUT, dad suggested they say a little prayer together so she would feel brave and be able to go up there.
Next thing you know, she went up with dad and, although she didn't say the prayer......she helped dad say it :)
But coming back from a meltdown is such a success!
So happy and happy dad was there to help her work through it.
After church, we had tithing settlement with the fam.
It was a nice visit with the bishop and he had such nice things to say about our family :)
When we got home we had lunch and then our HT came over.
Thy had a lesson about having PEACE in our home.
When they left, one of the guys said that we had such a sweet spirit in our home :)
Afterwards Dad told me 'See, even though we fight, you can still feel the love we have for each other when you come in our home.'
I hope that is true!
The girls all went to choir, I stayed home with the boys, thinking we could get a quick nap......
But those boys have so much fun tinkering with things and figuring out how things work.
They were meant to be father and son, FOR SURE!!!!
So, I left them to their fun and went and took a quick nap.....
The girls got home and we had dinner and then called Gramps.
After cleanup we all went into our cozy front room, that now has a fireplace mantle :)
We started reading a Christmas book together.
It is called 'Christmas Jars'.
It is really sad so far.....hoping it will perk up soon!
But I just enjoyed us all being together, in our cozy room, with our Christmas tree lights......and fake fire :)
We had our scriptures and prayer in there then off to bed.
It really was a lovely day.
