I have no clue how it got so late!!!!
And I feel bad because we didn't even do our General Conference talk thing today!
But we did visit with neighbors, so that is a good way of keeping the Sabbath day holy :)
Church went well.
I had to go with Elsie to class, and she whined the whole time.
But she was excited to get sung to in Sharing time, but I couldn't stay with her because I was teaching the lesson today.
Cassi volunteered to go with her in primary for a bit to get sung to.
And Elsie ended up staying in there (even though I hear she whined through it too....)
Cassi went and got her about 5 minutes early so she wouldn't get lost in the crowd once they were let out.
She came back to class with us and they sang happy birthday to her there.
She thought that was pretty great :)
After church we had lunch and I actually got a little nap.
Yay!
I was dragging!
I set my alarm for 2:40 so I could take Cassi to choir practice.
When it went off I could not figure out what was going on and why I had set my alarm...it took a good 5 minutes before I got my head cleared enough to get up and get going!
While cass was gone, Elsie spent time playing with Mater.
he's always been a good dog, but lately he has just really been so good.
I guess he is acting more like a grown up now instead of a teenager ;)
But I love the little friendship he and Elsie have together.
So sweet!
After choir Cassi started making cupcakes.
She has been begging to make these cupcakes for a very long time and so I finally let her.
My kitchen got destroyed.....but the cupcakes were pretty amazing!
They had a coconut cream filling.
The whole thing made from scratch.
I was pretty impressed!
And I didn't help at all except to show her how to separate the yolks from the whites.
And tried to encourage cleaning up as she worked (which did not happen.....)
She made a few plates of cupcakes to take to neighbors.
Most of the neighbors are gone right now.....
But we took some to Bubbles and the Nielsen family too.
She will have to make a new batch when the Morgans get back in town because Stacia is the baked goods connoisseur!
Anyway, we chatted with them for some time....so it was late when we got home and called Gramps.
But guess who talked to Gramps on the phone?!?!?!?!?!
Elsie!
Yay!
She was so excited too and couldn't stop giggling!
She was excited to tell him about her birthday coming up and he said he would send her a spanking in the mail :)
The kids played Trouble together for a very short amount of time with no fighting :)
So I had to capture the memory.
Then we finally had dinner.
Yes.
At like 9 at night!
In my defense, they had ruined their appetite earlier with cupcakes, so dinner at the regular time would have not been eaten!!!!!
Then I made Cassi clean the kitchen and we had prayer and the little ones were in bed after 10.......
I hope everyone sleeps in tomorrow!!!!!!
