Got up early this morning so I could get ready before I got the little ones up.
Port had a baseball game at 9, so we had to leave the house at 8:30.
We got all loaded and were on our way......but had to get gas first!
We got there on time......but I was not prepared for the freezing temps!
Okay, not freezing, but definitely not what we have been used to.
And it was so windy :(
Luckily I had packed jackets for the little ones, but I myself was wearing shorts and short sleeve shirt.
So I borrowed Port's jacket every time he went out to the outfield!
After about 45 minutes, it was unbearably cold!
And Elsie had been crying for the full 45 minutes.......and they are 1 1/2 hour games!
So, Elsie and I made a quick run to Fred Meyer and I bought a blanket.
I usually have a blanket in the car......but when I dropped the big kids off for Youth Conference yesterday, I had them take the blanket so they would be warm......
Anyway, luckily Fred Meyer had a king size blanket on sale for $10, so we got that and got back to the game and cuddled happily for the last of it.
We did a some errands on the way home.
Then got a call from the girls to meet at the church to pick them up.
So we just drive to the church, laid out our new blanket on the grass and waited for them to come.
They all had such a fun time and I am sad to have missed it.......but also happy to have gotten sleep :)
We came home and we were all SO TIRED!!!!!!
So we watched a little of 'When Calls the Heart' before I made them all get up and clean the house.
We finally sorted the mountain of clean laundry I had downstairs....we all did it together and it went very quick :)
Well, except Port was kind of a trouble maker.
I am not completely sure he hasn't been a little sick or something the last couple weeks.
Maybe ear infection......I don;t know.
But he has been pretty rotten!
Maybe he is just missing the structure of school.......
I am kinda missing that too!
We had a later dinner and then baths and showers and off to bed.
Well, the little ones.
Big ones finished their chores while I went for a quick 'sanity' run :)
I am glad I did even though I still have a lesson to plan for tomorrow!
My Beehive adviser has a sick girl and can't teach tomorrow, so I am going to.......last minute....
Wish me luck!
Dad got to have a fun day today.
There is an old KFC restaurant and an old nursery building that are going to be dozed down on Monday.
So they got to cut up roofs, force doors, and break everything they could all day.
He said it was truckie heaven :)
