Dad was gone all day today.
He went downtown to help with the 'tent city' clean-up.
He tells me he was part of the 'technical rescue component of the contingency plan'.....whatever that means ;)
It went a lot better then they had planned it would go.
'Tent City' is a bunch of homeless people in one area.
There have been a lot of problems, but most of all it is just unsanitary and not safe.
There is plenty of room for them in shelters around town, but for whatever reason, they chose to live out in the freezing cold in tents.
So the cops have been planning to do this clean-up and today was the day.
Brent said it was pretty peaceful, and he didn't have to do much.
But it was still almost 7 before he got home.
The kids kept asking all day for him!
They missed their daddy!
When he got home we had dinner then watched some shows.
Madi left to the Village with a few of her friends.
Waiting for her to get home now.
My day was spent on planning my lesson out, and I finished getting all the pieces cut out for my lesson thing.
I will post about it on Sunday once I have it all put together :)
I think I am happy with how my lesson came together....now I just need to rely on the participation of the YW!
