Thursday November 5

Today was Dads interview with the Chief for the captains position.
He was very prepared and anxious to get it done.
He was very pleased with how it went, and I am so proud of him!
Not long after he got home from that, Drew stopped by.
The guys had a nice visit while I cleaned up around the messy kitchen :)
Nothing else much exciting happened today.
I took Elsie out to PT for just a little bit.
We are trying a new thing with the Kinseio tape.
And Katie was teaching me how to put it on Elsie.
It really is amazing.
We put some on her heel, that is mainly for awareness of her heel.
Then we run a strip up the front of her calf.
You put it on when her foot is not flexed and then stretch the tape over the calf on an angle.
It really is the craziest thing to watch her walk with the tape on.
She will step and when she goes to put her other foot back down, that tape basically pulls the toe upwards making it so her toe doesn't drag as she is taking the next step.
It is hard to explain, but so fascinating!!!!
We are excited to work with it.
She did some last week.....it did wear her calf muscle out and she got a big knot it in.
I guess her legs flexing a lot more than it is used to.
But with some massaging and rest, she is doing good.
Very exciting!
Katie says there are other areas and ways to try it, but we will do it like this for a while and see how it goes.
Then I picked up pizza on the way home.
After dinner, Madi ran and did some kid sitting for Stacia.
I went with Stacia to a baby shower for April Tolley.
That was fun.
But it made for another later night for the little ones!
I hope they all sleep really good tonight!

This is a video from Dads tech rescue training on a high angle crane the other day.
They had the opportunity to go to a big building project in downtown Boise that is utilizing one 200 ft crane and one 300 ft. crane to perform a mock rescue.
He got to be the one in charge of the rescue.
And he did a pretty great job.
One of the guys put the pictures and videos together to make this fake movie trailer :)
Pretty fun :)
Make sure to check out the credits!
