Sunday October 11

Today was a delightful Sabbath day :)
We listened to some conference talks this morning, which I always love doing!
I had to go to a meeting this morning, and Cassi had choir practice.
Elsie has been stuffy and yucky, but we wanted to go to Sacrament meeting.
She didn't have a fever, so we decided to go and then one of us could take her home for class time.
It was a great testimony meeting today.
Afterwards, I took Elsie home so dad could be in his class, then when they went to sharing time, he came home and swapped me so I could go to Young Woman's.
Then we had a yummy beef/sweet potato crock pot stew for dinner.
It was super yummy!
And I made some of  my friend, Cindy Peterson's famous french bread......so yummy!
I mean mine didn't turn out as great as hers, but it was still so good!
After clean up and finishing up some homework......(I am working hard to get the homework stuff done before Sunday....it is a struggle!)
Then we needed some family bonding time.
We went and shot some hoops, and the girls thought they needed a million pictures of themselves....and I obliged, of course :)
We were trying to see what features they had that were the same and what was different.
Madi says that her friends tell her that she and Cassi look exactly alike.
There is not much that they have the same in the way of features, I mean besides both being beautiful......but they have different mouths, eyes, face shapes.....I think their ears are similar though ;)
And all the kids have cute little cleft chins.
Kind of funny.
I think Elsie and Cassi look similar, but that blonde and dark hair throw you off.
I also think it is funny that Madi and Porter look the most alike to me of all the kids, but Madi looks like me and Port is the spitting image of his daddy at his age.
Genes are a funny thing!
We had fun talking and laughing.
Maybe playing basketball isn't everyone idea of a great Sunday activity......BUT it is something that brought us closer as a family and I think that can't be bad.
When we were in the house, there was a lot of fighting and grumpy attitudes.
When we were outside together, we could all focus on the same thing and enjoy and love each other.

We had an interesting talk about keeping the Sabbath day holy at work...I think you are spot on with your basketball!
