Today was not as productive as I had planned.
But it was still a good day.
I went grocery shopping as soon as I woke up.
When I got home, we cleaned up a bit around the house and then we watched General Conference.
Really great talks and I can't wait to hear more tomorrow.
The play that Porter won tickets too was actually today (instead of last week when we showed up there.....)
So we loaded up and headed back out to Caldwell.
The play was James and The Giant Peach.
It was really so great!
Very Broadway-ish....
The kids were entertained and they all really enjoyed it.
Yesterday I got a text from Lily's mom seeing if today would be a good day to play with Elsie.
We haven't seen Lily in a long time because she moved out to Caldwell.
I told her mom that it would work perfect because I would already be out in Caldwell!
So after the play we went and picked her up.
her mom told me that they would pick her up on their way home from the hospital.
Lily's grandma has been in St Als since Monday.
She was at the airport on Monday getting ready to fly home to Seattle when she had a stroke!
So she has been here trying to get better.
Too bad!
But so glad we got to have Lily hang out for a while.
She is so great to Elsie :)
Very protective!
The play performance was on during the second Saturday conference session.
So we have it recorded and we will watch it tomorrow, either before the morning session, or between the two :)
The kids played a lot outside.
Port and I thought maybe we could try and jimmy rig the slide up to the apple tree that is dying :)
The kids thought that was pretty cool!
I don't trust the big girls to go down it, but it works great for the little kids.
I still plan to put it off the deck, or maybe a platform off a tree.
I want Elsie to use it....so it needs to be at a spot she is willing to go up and down.
And a ladder won't cut it.
Anyway, it was fun trying to get it put together :)
I sent a picture to Dad and told him the his jimmy rigging is rubbing off on me, and he said it's not 'jimmy-rig' it 'Ingenuity'!
I agree :)
It was a late night.....Lily got picked up about 9:30, and then to get everyone wound down and into bed.
I REALLY want to sleep in tomorrow.....but that has not happened yet on this long weekend :(
