Stain is on!!!!!!

Woohoo!

So glad to be done with that part!

Still need to put the finish coats on.

We will do that on Thursday or Friday.

But so glad the stain is done.

There is no hiding the fact that we did it ourselves :)

Definitely not professional!

BUT.......it is just how we like it :)

I joked with Brent that we sanded down old floors so we could make them look like REALLY old floors!

But I love it and can't wait to move furniture onto it and get the cabinets finished painted.

It will look so good with the dark stain!

It is just how I wanted it!

We got up this morning and finished sanding the last few spots.

Dad cut out the flush vents and put some flooring in the bathroom door where it would show through with the door shut.

The Youngs came over and helped with cleaning up and sweeping and getting final sanding done.

It was fun to have them out here and we are grateful for their help!

We started staining about 2:30 and finished right around 5:30.

3 hours straight!!!!!

My arms will be DEAD!!!!!

They are already dead from sanding all day yesterday, but then today, I did the wiping after Brent applied the stain.

We had a good system and we are a dang good team together :)

But....we will be hurting tomorrow!

After staining, (and showering) Madi and I left to Stacia's house to help her get ready for Sydney's surprise party.

It was a fun party, well, it's still fun, she is still there.

I left early to pick cassi up from her friends house and get the little ones to bed!

But Stacia rented some bubble balls and it was so much fun to watch!

I think it would make for a really fun date night!!!!

Not sure if there is too much jarring for Brent right now though...maybe we will wait a bit longer.....

But the kids had a lot of fun.

While I was gone at the party with Madi and Cassi with her friend Kaili, Dad took the little ones for a little date night to McDonalds and then they watched Annie together :)

Ya, so glad we got this done today!!!!!

Such a relief!!!!

Not too much longer before we are ALMOST done with the house :)

(For the record, we will NEVER be done with this house!!!!!)
