Friday June 12

Big and exciting news today!!!!!!
Doc called after looking at the x-rays and says he looks great.
That he can get rid of the brace!!!!!
Oh Brent was more than happy to rip that thing right off!
He has done real well today.
Still sore, but it will take time to build that muscle back up.
This is the light at the end of the tunnel, ya know :)
We made a trip to Lowe's to pick out the edge that we want for the counter tops.
We also picked up a fan for our bedroom.
I fought it....but we do need a fan.
We installed it this evening and it will be so nice!
After lunch we ran some more errands.
Got a new hand band sander and started trying to sand spots of the floors, you know, around the edges.
This new one will make it so nice.
Our other one seemed to just sand the back half of the pad.
So I am excited to get the edges sanded :)
While we were gone, the girls washed Dads truck for him....with the promise that we would go and get snow cones later.
Port was gone with Max and Graham a lot of the day.
Their dad took them to Camel's back and they climbed the hill and played there for quite a while.
Port was so excited when they came home.
He couldn't stop talking about the fact that they had Mexican food for dinner.
"Mom, guess what we had for lunch!
Real Mexican food!"
He also had so much fun running around with the boys.
They sure are trouble all together.....but I love it so much!
Once Dad and I came home and the boy came home, we loaded back up and went to swim at the Young's.
They just got back from a trip to California.
So it was great to get the kiddos together again.
We swam for a while before heading home.
We had to leave because Cassi got herself another babysitting job.
The Grants called again.
The kids had so much fun with her the other night, they wanted her again!
That is pretty great for an 11 year old :)
So we stopped and got some burgers, then picked up those promised snow cones on the way back.
We got home in enough time for Cassi to get ready to babysit.
I'm still waiting for her now.
I am sure things went awesome.
She is pretty great with kids.
The rest of us played outside for a bit.....found some baby birds that must have fallen out of a nest.
Dad fed them bugs and I guess we will see if they make it through the night.
We watched some TV for a bit before sending the little, exhausted, ones to bed!
