Thursday April 9

I kept Madi home this morning so I could take her in to the Orthopedic doc.
He recommends she start doing PT 2-3 times a week.
He said that the same thing that happens with whiplash, happened to her back.
When you contract a muscle, and then that contracted muscle get pulled.....that causes problems.
So I think PT will be good to do.

Drew, Heather, Pat and Steve came again today and worked on the floors.
Then they did some demo.
Lots of demo.
More demo than they thought they would have to.
They pulled out the old floors in the kitchen, by the sink, so we can match the existing wood floors.
So they really worked hard to pull out the sub-floor.
Looks like we are gonna have to pull up the other bottom sub-floor before we lay the wood because it is pretty weak looking in a lot of spots.
They were super great to pull all that stuff out.
So thankful for them!

I took Madi to school and helped them out upstairs for a little bit before I went to go and get Port from school.
When I was there, Mr. Powell pulled me aside to tell me Cassi was in the nurses office.
Gave her some medicine and she wanted to stay and lay down and then she would go back for lunch.
So I went home and left her there on the nurses bench in the dark.
I had to go back to school to set stuff up for Art gallery night around 1:30.
While I was setting up, Linnea walks in and saw me and says, "Oh, Cassi is in the nurses office again".  :(
Darn-it.
So I finished up quick and took her home.
She laid in bed and waited for her head to feel better.
Tomorrow I am gonna call the pediatrician and see about getting a referral to the concussion center at St. Lukes.
See if we can get these headaches taken care of :(
*****
We had dinner brought to us by Lindsie Field.
So yummy....I'm not sure if my kids will ever be happy again when I do start cooking for them.
I just don't measure up to these amazing meals we are getting!
*****
About 6:30, we headed to the school for Art Gallery Night.
Madi stayed home with dad cause she had a lot of homework to do.
It was a fun night.
I always love these art gallery nights.
So much fun to see the art that the kiddos have been working on.
The self portraits are my very favorites!
They also had a couple local artists in rooms demonstrating their work.
And in other rooms, they had high school art kids helping the kids with art projects, and face painting.
So it was a lot of fun.
There is a lot of work that goes into the night, and I think it was a huge success!
Another fun thing about the night....
Port's class did a Jackson Pollock type painting on a large sheet.
Well, at the end of the night, someone offered to buy it!!!!
All proceeds go to the school.
Pretty darn cool!
