Friday April 10

Drew came over again today.
He had plans to finish up the front entry wood floors and figure out what to do over the cinder brick transition.
While he was here working, Pete stopped by to chat with us.
Together they all came up with a great plan and once Pete left, Drew got it all put together.
There is an 1/8 inch difference in height between the new floors and the old floors.
But Drew did a great job, and the slope is not going to be very noticeable.
Great job Drew.
Oh, Drew also had a cute little helper for a little while.
Port helped him pick up some of the cinder brick that Drew knocked out.
I am super excited with how it looks.
It will look so great when we get it all sanded down and it will all flow together and just be beautiful!

I actually got some stuff done today at the house.
I didn't have a bunch of running around to do, so I actually got like 4 loads of laundry done and sorted.
Not too shabby.
I fully intended to do the dishes......
I actually did get them all rinsed off, because of the cement falling down on top of it all :)
Where Drew was working was right above our basement kitchen sink.....so it was a bit messy.
So does that count?
Okay, fine.
I will do them tomorrow.....
*****
We had a yummy Pot Pie brought to us by Tanya Robinson.
Super good.
I think it should be a rule to ALWAYS supply the recipe when you take someone a meal :)
We have had some pretty awesome food brought to us!
*****
After dinner, Dad and I did a couple errands.
He was ready to get out of the house for a bit.
It took a lot out of him, so we came home and watched a movie with the fam.
Oh, we had the sweetest gift bag left for us from Debbie Wyler.
It was a movie night bag.....she had popcorn (which was the best I have ever had!!!!!)
She had baggies of cookies and brownies....
And the biggest, softest, cuddliest blanket for us to cuddle in.
So darn sweet of her!
Elsie got to cuddle with dad on his bed for the movie.
Dad is kind of a goof ball lately......and he makes Elsie giggle and laugh like crazy.
It's pretty funny :)

Just a shot of the house with the porch lights on from this angle....it might be one of my favs.
It will be better when the garage gets sided the same and everything is painted.......
But, I mean, lets be serious here.....
We know that will be WAY down the road :)
I'm okay with that.
