Happy Easter!
It was a really nice day today.
The kids all woke up pretty early, and we tried to wait for dad to wake up, but he was really snoozing :)
So we woke him up around 8.
We had an Easter egg scavenger hunt up in the house.
When we got home from Utah, I had a bag of stuffed Easter eggs and treats from Alyson Woodland sitting at my house.
That day I also got a giant bag delivered to me from Sarah Hill with all kinds of Easter treats and gifts.
What a sweet thing for them to do!
It was so nice not to have to worry about it.
I got a few things for the kids the other day too....new church clothes.
They were in desperate need!
And they each got a 'big' gift.
It has been a rough week or so for them.
We wanted them to have a really nice day.
A day not to have to worry about everything else they are thinking about.
And it was a good one!
After the hunt, we went back to the basement and started watching General Conference.
I didn't get to watch much before we decided to get Brent in the shower.
We planned to be out to Pat and Steves for Easter lunch at 12:30.
So I needed to get him showered and also needed time to get his brace dried before we had to leave, (because he has to have it on at all times when he is up.)
Well, everything worked out and we got out to Pat and Steves almost right on time :)
It was so fun to get all those kiddos together again.
We had a yummy lunch and then the kiddos had an Easter egg hunt.
While the kids played we talked and listened to General Conference in the background.
I am glad we recorded it....because I didn't really get a chance to sit and listen to it much over the last couple days!
We also got a new baby Easter goose :)
I tried to fight it....but I didn't win.
Anyway.....such a cute little fluffy thing.
They named him Honkers :)
We got Daddy home and he was pretty spent, but he had a pretty great day.
He was up and about with the brace on for about 5 hours.
And he did really good.
He is making great steps everyday.
When we got home, we had a Easter bag of Candy as well as a video about the Life of Jesus Christ.
I don't know who gave it to us, but it was super sweet!
So thank you!!!!
We also got a yummy treat from the Crofts; Maycee, Sadee and Klete.
It was so nice of them to think of us and bring it by.
And Aaron Hale stopped by too.
He wanted to get a list of what else needed to be worked on in the house in order to get us up there.
Again, like I say every night.....
People are so good!
So willing to give their time, their talents, and their love.
We are very grateful.
