We have ourselves a very spoiled little goose!

I was the grump who didn't want it.....but I won't lie....he's growing on me :)

These kids are so cute with it!

Anyway...after the kids went off to school, I took dad in for an appointment with his neurosurgeon.

It was good to get in and have his own guy check out the x-rays and CT scans.

He says we will just continue with the brace.

He wants some new x-rays this week, and continue every two weeks after that to see how the healing is going.

The doc said he is optimistic that he won't need surgery, but that it is a very important part of the back that needs to heal right.

So, we just wait.

Wait for him to heal.

He was pretty wiped when we got home from the doc.

So he slept for a little while.

I got a little nap too.

 Don't worry, Port was babysitting us.

All was good :)

Both girls got headaches at school today :(

Madi is supposed to do a bunch of testing this week, and it is hour after hour in front of a computer.

So I am not sure what to do.

I am gonna call the school tomorrow and see what we can figure out.

Cassi was fine after they called me and they gave her some medicine.....I think she laid in the nurses office for a little bit too.

I feel bad sending them to school when they don't feel 100%.

But it also stresses them out to miss out on all the school work!

So what do I do?

Port came home from school with some juice boxes and a pack of Fresca drinks.

I guess they came from his sweet teacher, Mrs. Grayson.

What a sweetheart :)

And Vern, who has been super sick the last few days, was over here mowing the lawn.

And we have a lot of lawn!

She kinda rocks!

We had some yummy dinner brought to us from Suzy Larsen and Beverly Mower.

So sweet of them.

They talked with us for a little bit, Elsie was so excited to see Sister Larsen :)

Then we gave them a little tour of the place.

Billy and his dad came over to talk to Brent for a little bit.

Then we headed over to Bubbles house for a couple hours to watch the final basketball game.

The Morgans came over too.

We had to leave before the end of the game cause dad was hurting pretty bad....

Hope we can all have a good night tonight :)
